Star Wars Galaxies

Any one play it?
Hello me again right you may (or may not) remember i was asking about wow not long ago. Well im bored of it there is no focus on team play its slow and boring so i thought i wondeer what star wars galaxies is like.
No seeming as they are being cheep and there is no free trial i thought i would ask the wise people of ns forums. Now is it as good as it looks is it fun? or is it slow boring and the comunity kinda are retarded? Becuase i enjoy games where you group up and overcome an objective as one rather than wow where its ever elf for him self.
I've pretty much said all i need to so ill let you reply some, in short is it worth getting and would i enjoy it more than wow becuase at the moment i sure as hell am not.
-Thanks for any feedback

I've heard that SWG is very tedious after a certain point, despite its apparent depth. Something about how after a few levels or so you start grinding a lot,or doing the same thing again and again. Still,no better way to find out then to play it.
As I said,I haven't played it myself, these are things I've heard about it.
Did you get the full pack with the 2 expansions btw?
And kudos for at least trying WOW and 'then' giving a criticism of it. (I've heard people criticise WOW despite not playing it)
By the way, what server did you try on WOW? Team work builds up from level 20 onwards,if you got that far and then figured this out, either
a: bad server for people wanting to do anything outside of INSTANCES.
b: just bad luck in general.
If you ever want to try WOW again,go to Daggerspine and choose Alliance. My lvl 21 gnome warrior would be happy to help you out, although I need a gamecard atm,so not just yet.
But no,I don't play SWG. One absorbing MMORPG is enough.
Don't play it if you're a Star Wars fan though. It's not the MMORPG you're looking for. Move along.
I have a level 21 warlock i ddont want to loose really on ragarnos
I had fun playing though, while it lasted. It got a bit boring doing the same thing, since if you're going for a combat profession you just killkillkillkillkillkill buy-new-weapon-cos-old-one-broke killkillkill etc... and if it's a crafting profession, you buy a load of materials, set up a macro, go to bed etc... (same for dancer and musician). Don't know how much has changed since I last played though.
The players were mostly nice, too. With the odd exception, such as the guy who had selected the shortest possible race and made it as short as possible, and was wearing a stormtrooper costume. Me, being the nice guy that I am, jokingly asked "Aren't you a little short to be a stormtrooper" and was barraged with insults of pretty much every family member I have. But then there are the nice guys, like the guy who was pretty much the most famous PvPer on my server giving me a buff, dueling me (i lost so bad), then reviving me (even though he was imperial and I was rebel). That guy ruled.
Also whats the most memrable moment mine would be from when i tried it about 1/12 ago (Free trial) i asked for some money and some one gave me bloody loads of it i had enough money to buy a house and 2 speeders with some left over haha
Does any one know if the light speed is any good?

Being the ranger (I could track animals) in a krayt dragon hunting group, finding one of the harder versions (i can't remember but I think it was one up from base krayt dragon), then spending about 20 minutes with the group shooting at the damn thing (due to some class animal trainer people and some high class pets, we didn't even get attacked directly by it), and finally when it died, I only got about 10xp and no cut of the profits because I was just tagging along with my friends guild
to put it simply - if you thought WoW is slow, STAY AWAY from SWG. In WoW, I got 2 chars to lvl 60 in the first month and a half of play. In SWG, it takes months to get ONE char to decent skill levels... and the quests in SWG are mostly random generated and repetitive. in WoW, the quests may have you do a lot of the same type of thing (kill mob A, get item B), but they're all original, well-written, and plot-oriented.
WoW is lightning-fast for an MMORPG, so if it's too slow for you, maybe you should stay away from MMORPGs altogether... :>

"Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?"
Etc.
My favorite moment from SWG was when me and my Imperial buddies raided a Rebel city (mostly I provided play by play in guild chat. Weeeaaak). Blaster fire going back and forth, stormtroopers falling everywhere, AT-ST's shooting rebels, explosions... it was chaos. And it was beautiful
My worst moment was seeing a trandoshan named Wedgie Antilles walk by. That's about when I canceled my subscription. RP servers plz!
