See attatchment. It's a scan of a page of this week's Circuit City newspaper ad.
Note HL2 episode 1 is $8. It's quite possible that by now it's already sold out at your nearest Circuit City, so remember that you can pricematch it at other stores if you bring a real copy of the newspaper ad.
Yes, it's as short as you've heard. I beat it twice in one day, once on Hard and a second time on Easy with developer comments on; good fun both times. For the current price on Steam it's probably not worth it, but at $8 I'm considering buying a 2nd copy to give as a birthday gift or something.

(Quake 4 and FEAR were even shorter.)
I'm fine with the price of HL2 ep1. Especially since I enjoyed it so much.
I think by the time the rest of the episodes are released, the price will be comparative to HL2 in terms of hours played.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
hl2=€45
hl2 ep1 = €20
So we're getting 1.5 more episodes then, right?
Or look at it the other way. Each episode is 4 hours gameplay, hl2 was 20 hours gameplay.
hl2= €2.25 per hour
ep1= €5 per hour
Correct me if any of these figures are wrong, but to me it looks like valve are shifting the price point more than just a little.
