<div class="IPBDescription">For The World Of Warcraft Players.</div>Alterac Valley Scorecard type thingy;
Played: 8
Horde Wins: 1
Alliance Wins: 7

Is it just my server or do the Horde get truely owned on all the other servers?

(I'm a level 60 Tauren Shaman... I hate being a Shaman but i'm a decent player, nothing special.)

I've asked around around and the majority of players seem to think that the Alliance have, and I quote:
"more guards" and "more space".

So... thoughts and opinions from both sides of Azeroth please? No "omg nerf da pallies!" or "h0rd3 = nubs rofl-potatoes!" please.

I'm also interesting in hearing from anyone who is rank 10 or higher... how long did it take you to get there?
(I'm working towards the armour set for my Shaman.)

Thanks.

I've had the unique experience of playing both sides of AV, and I've found that the whining on both sides is largly unfounded except for one major diffrence. The horde base IS a little easier to defend and is in general harder to work through, meaning that it's better for melee classes. However the closed spaces make it worse for people who attack from range like hunters. The alliance base has a huge choke point leading up to it, while the horde choke point is further in. In the end, however, I'd have to say the bases are pretty even discounting the fact that alliance will have better luck defending with ranged attackers while horde will have a better chance with warriors and rogues.

    W00tyflakes, its now played 10 won 2 lost 8.

/me pokes Jimmeh with a stick.
As for Redfords' comments, hmm I have noticed a few times that there's only been a few warriors throughout the raid.
We always seem to have a surplus of Druids though. I'll keep an eye on the warrior count over the next few games and see if there's much difference made.

Oh and, can someone please tell me where to hand in the gathered flesh? I know where to take the blood and the armour scraps but I can't find the npc who wants the flesh.

I completely disagree Red. The Alliance base has the one, humongous, chokepoint: A bridge that you can't get by no matter what you do, with two forts on both sides with 6 archers on each firing arrows that hit a warrior for 350 damage? Thats a pretty big roadblock.

However, you can skip 80% of the Horde's preliminary defenses, and be in front of Drek'thar by jumping a fence on the right side(normal mount, just angle it right), and running into the fork-road tower. Run up from there, and you're right under the Archers- where, no less, they can't hit you anyway, taking away the entire reason to HAVE archers(get a Warrior in there with a decent Druid/Priest/Paladin, or just a Druid, really, and the tower goes easily).

BUT, Drek'thar is incredibly hard to kill, too. Unlike Stormpike, Drek'thar has a cleave that 2 shots most Rogues, and he does it often. It hits Warriors hard too! I can tank Stormpike, but I know I'd go down in moments to Drek'thar.

Edit: Oh, and on my servers, its become pretty even since the 1.11 patch.

From what I've read, most servers are heavily one sided. Either Horde beat Alliance all the time, or Alliance beat Horde.

In terms of balance, I would now say it's swung in favour of Alliance, now that the bunker exploit has been fixed, but the waterfall exploit left in. It's still annoying that one Alliance bunker is completely ignored though, but there's no where to move it really.
