<div class="IPBDescription">EVER</div>I don't know how many other people out there host a few web sites. But I've been doing it for years and am always on the hunt for a better deal. I think I've finally found the best deal around (short of "knowing a guy").
<a href="http://www.servage.net" target="_blank">http://www.servage.net</a>
75gb of storage space
1.1 Terabytes of transfer a month. That's right TERABYTES. It comes out to 37GB per DAY.
Unlimited domains, MySQL, .htaccess files, ftp access, even email hosting. I know that's all I've ever asked from a host.
Plus, if you host 6-7 sites like I do, and currently use a cpanel based site, you may be familiar with the ultra-retarded addon domain and subdomain filesystem layout. Totally not a problem with servage since you get to tell it what folder to host which domain from.
The only drawback, and it's a small one for me, is that you don't have access to any really good stats programs. You have to use their custom webstats stuff.
All of this, and it's only $7.50/month.
I recently switched over when the news about Portal (and thusly Narbacular Drop) came out last month. And they seriously let you use the whole 37GB/Day without any hassle. Although they did shut me down each day when I hit 37GB, but for $7.50 a month, that's fine by me.

I currently use www.dreamhost.com (as do many guys in IRC).
20 gb storage +160mb/week
1 TB bandwidth +8gb/week
$10/month.
Yes, that means the bandwidth and storage increase as you stay with them. After a year, I shall be up to about 1.5TB and such. Now, the part I really like is they don't limit the bandwidth per day. I mirror'ed the Empires mod release and did 980gb over 3 days, and they didn't care at all <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
I use HostGator and I've had Zero problems. Although I am always on the lookout for better hosting. I may look into this, thanks Them!

I switched to these guys directly from using hostgator previously. I'm certainly happy with the upgrade thus far.
Great find, though. I've been with <a href="http://www.fuitadnet.com" target="_blank">FuitadNET</a> for a while now, and they're pretty reliable, but I'll keep this place in mind. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
Man, I wish there was a deal like this with a host that allows ASP.NET... I'd really like to experiment with it, rather than spend time learning PHP/MySQL.

You can probably run it locally on your own machine for testing and developing purposes.

Yep, Visual Web Developer comes with a local server. But I was hoping to make a little browser-based game, or something. I can't exactly host that off of my own computer. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
Servage just bumped me up to 2100GB of monthly transfer. 70GB a friggin day.

And over 200GB of storage. Glad to see webhosts all around are actually giving out decent storage and bandwidth now.
Wow, deja-vu. Dreamhost also bumped our bandwidth up to 2TB on account signup, add in their auto increasing per week, and Im up to 2.4 TB/month. bonus: no daily limits!

Here, too. And I think they changed their main page, so it's a standard thing now...
Oh, I guess I should mention that I signed up with them a little while ago. Excellent service, so far.
how slow?

Does it have Cpanel/Fantastico? Website says that Servage provides a "Web Based" control panel, but does not specify which. Thanks in advance.
I've been using it, and recently, I've been having issues. =/ Anyone else?
Did anyone ever try this hosting out?

Yep, I've been using it for almost a couple of months now. Still going strong. No major problems so far. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
Just wish I could get access to the raw access logs, though.
Alot of transfer a month is cool, but im guessing both dreamhost and servage comes with loasy speeds and bandwith. It's usually the case, but mayby im wrong.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Can't say for savage, but I know dreamhost doesn't follow that trend. I get pretty good speeds off them (~400kb/s) and the site managed to do about 1.1TB of transfer in just over a day without any problems when I mirror'ed the Empires mod release.

Funny, when I go to visit servage, I see Canada written in the upper right corner. So I go "Oh good, in my own country!". So it got me interested. But then when I wanted to see where they are exactly, all I see is the following physical addresses :

Heh, I get that, too. They're probably just customizing the page/prices based on your country (which they can guess pretty accurately by your IP.)
I suspect that their main office is the office in either Germany or Denmark, because their FAQs and documentation have a hint of non-native English writing to them. Like the guy who wrote them has English as a second language.
We have been using servage and they were generally good, but their servers are overcrowded, and it took anything upto 25 secs per page to open, it became very frustrating for us (bearing in mind though we are in the uk). We have just changed to freeola, and our pages load in about a second. This isn't just down to across the pond travels, as this website is hosted across the pond and loads after a second or 2. Just beware, the service starts off very well, then you end up with congested boxes, and then it isn't quite so good..

Not true for me. Been using servage since July for <a href="http://www.nuclearmonkeysoftware.com" target="_blank">nuclearmonkeysoftware.com</a> and have absolutely no speed problems.
310GB space. 3000 GB monthly transfer. That's 100 Gigs of transfer every single day.
How about them apples comprox?
