To everyone involved in the game on GFB2S NS_Ayumi yesterday afternoon, Thank You!

Rounds like that are what makes NS great. Evenly matched teams, non stop battles over choke points, constant struggle for res control, hives shifting hands multiple times, and both teams fully teched slugging it out to gain an inch.

Rounds where one team dominates from the start and it's over in 15 minutes get old. But the hope of being a part of one of these epic battles keeps me playing NS.

I've also had some great games on that server.


Once where we were on aliens, we were losing at first. Marines had lock down a hive, they were going on our first hive(we had two hives), but we managed to fend them off.


They were inside the hive and com was med spamming, we managed to somehow work as a team and killed all of them.

Few minutes later, it happened again, and we defended it again.

The marines didn't "suck" so bad(they were decent, above average in a pub server), we won mostly from teamwork and the alien team actually listening to each other.

OldF and TacticalGamer are about the only places where you can expect more than half the team to know how to play.

Without so many plugins that change the game.

Unfortunately most servers don't really have the settings as "regular" NS. Though, I'd say only about 50% of the servers that run NS maps run some custom plugin that changes something with the game. But there aren't many NS servers with people in them from a location near you.

Combat, 95% of the servers are custom servers.

G4B2S and NSarmslab <b>used to</b> have regular combat servers (with only Extra levels), but now they've added /xmenu, buildmenu, and all that other stuff.

I suaully join GFB2S if I want to lock a hive properly and then slowly crawl out with tech to get HA and push over the aliens.... its like 50% of the rounds there goes like that +10vs10 aliens should never win.

g4b2s is terrible - 30 slot ns server, abusive admins, terrible players, random donator kicks
