Damn Good SciFi
So I was thinking that we need to start collecting good scifi thats published on the internet. Its always nice to have something to read.
The first here is "The Last Question", widely considered to be one of Isaac Asimov's best short stories:
Basically, humanity builds a computer that solves all of their energy problems. But some people realize that some day the universe will run out of energy, and decide to ask the computer, and all subsequent incarnations of it, if this can be avoided by reversing entropy.

The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect
This other one is very NSFW. It contains graphic sex, violence, and combinations thereof. However, its still a great story. It takes place after a computer thats able to manipulate time and space makes all of humanity immortal, and can do anything they ask it to. Its told from the point of view of a woman who doesn't like what the computer has done, and of the man who built the computer.

Comments
I'm not sure if it counts as "way out there sci-fi" as it is more cyberpunk/post-apocalyptic/near-future. It's (very basically) an ongoing audiobook detailing the adventures of a wastelander "librarian" in the bleak future where corporations gain way too much control, everything is copyrighted and licenced (even the chronograph) and the government is virtually abolished.

You had me at graphic sex.
Anyway, I just recently read the Last Question on the recommendation of someone else, and it was awesome. Definitely something that everybody should read.

The Last Question was kind of a 'meh'.
The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect though, that was good. I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing, I'll be sure to post any good stories I come across as well.
