Never played SystemShock/2, but this trailer has me spooging all over this game.
I understand its the "Spiritual" successor to SS2?
It looks awsome. The atmosphere is incredible!

<a href="http://www.ttlg.com/forums/" target="_blank">Check Through The Looking Glass forums</a>, that's all I remember.
These "people" are no longer human, and the upgrade system would basically make you one of them.
It looks awsome, and the design ideal makes it all the more awe inspiring of a game. They're on the record as saying they want to make a game where a walkthrough is useless. Where the players' choices affect the game in a huge number of ways.
They're supposedly making the place one big ecology, with ways to affect that very base nature of the enemies or utilise it to your benifit.
If they accomplish even half of that, it'll be game of the year material.
(Morbid...awesome!)
Good lord!
Hopefully they can make those moral choices clear to the player...
I'm sure I'll be a murdering ******* though... Bring it on big daddies! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />
Then there's the in game consequences: Hulking smash beast accompanaying cute little corpse-harvester to prevent them from being kill isn't going to take being out of a job lightly.
System shock 2 was possibly the most intense and immersive game I've ever played. Some of the gameplay wasn't all that great I didn't think. Security cameras were more annoying than interesting, and some of the combat was kinda uninspired, but man oh man, did it have an atmosphere.
I think perhaps more than any other game system shock 2 convinced me that I was in a real place, and also that my enemies were conscious and had real motives. I don't think I'm ever going to forget The Many and Shodan. They are by far the most chilling and compelling adversaries in a game EVER.
i hope they don't screw up the PC version ...

That's some really cool stuff right there. Doubt my PC will be able to handle that though <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
lol also on a random note: Scary games like these always tend to keep pushing the psychological mind to the limit, killing little girls, lol how much can you take before its too much!
I'm thinking it will be something very gorey with internal organs and what not, cut out your eye or let the infection kill you and so forth.
hoho game developers are disturbed.
Developer: Hey Jimmy lets make a game where you have to smash a little girls face with a wrench!
Assistant: Bob...you need serious help...
Im trying to work on a syringe that when i stick myself a horde of babblers will spawn out of my arm.
But first i need to somehow build a D chamber... hmmmm <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />
I'm really wondering what is the next stage of pushing the limits of the mind, I mean it will have to be something way more terrifying then thinking...do I smash the living essence out of this little girl to...<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
What would be interesting, is a game like Bioshock, and Eternal Darkness combined.
That'll be one awesome mind-messing game.
Edit: Again, the girls look evil, nothing cute. I wouldn't have a problem killing them honestly.
I don't know how many times I'm going to have to repeat this, but you don't have to kill any freaking little girls. You can become their protectors, if you want. The game is only as distrubing as you make it.

ARE YOU ALLOWED TO STOP THE GIRL FROM DRINKING CORPSE JUICE?

You can, just kill the little girl.
But that will be a lose/lose situation, since you don't want to kill the girl, since it's disturbing. It's also disturbing that she is drinking from a corpse.
The only win situation is to not play the game.
And, why doesn't quote, quote the person's quote. I mean, we have to manually put in the quotes to make a quote pyramid. <!--coloro:red--><span style="color:red"><!--/coloro--><b>We demand quote pyramids</b><!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->
