Just based on that I don't think there is a politician alive with more ideas or credibility.

If this guy sticks to his guns, and the dem's pick him, there's a pretty good chance I'll vote for him.

I believe what Bush did was necessary, but it's been done. I want it seen through to the end, but that can be done by someone less headstrong.

Right now I've got a big beef on education, and since my sis is a teacher in Virginia, I know that Virginia's a pretty damn good place for education. I'm soo impressed that his speech wasn't about what Bush has done wrong, but about what he wants to do, and why he thinks it's right. Very much kudos.

I have some hope for 2008 now.

Awesome. I'm linking this video around some more. I'm not American, but forward thinking American leadership would do so much more to make me want to be.

Well he's decided not to run: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/15234727/ Citing his desire to "have a life" and spend time with his kids for a while. I appreciate that, but it's a damn shame. Anyone know of anyone else who can pick up the torch?

I thought the statement ridiculous enough to not need a <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

Evidently he was too smart...
Being President is definately not a fun or relaxing way of life.

It's still a shame, as he was the one giving me hope for 2008...

It doesn't really matter who gets in. They'll just be warming the seat for a little while until the next Bush comes along to take over the (thinly veiled) monarchy that the american government has turned into.

The US Constitution established a balance of powers designed to prevent any single branch of government from rising above the rest. However, it's "just a goddamned piece of paper", so who cares?

Unfortunately, the vast majority of [american] voters seem to be ignorant of anything but War, Abortion, Illegal Immigration, Gas Prices, and Sex Scandals...which just-so-happen to be the main things that make 'great news'.

Because noone wants to hear about Voting Fraud, Education, Economics, International Relations, or Political Corruption.
No.
Never.
