Cannot install.

<div class="IPBDescription">I have read many topics on this but still no go.</div>I bought half life2 Game Of The year edition which came with the half life source and some other games. Can i still install NS on this? I have been having troubles trying to get the game to work. I have tried following the guide on <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?s=6462773756011055104&showtopic=90801" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index....showtopic=90801</a> but it did not help. the game does not appear on the my games list. Help.

    Do you have Half-Life (ie, HL1), the first version, installed? If not, that might be your problem...

    the engine is diferent from H-L 1!!

    NS is based on H-L 1 engine!!

    Alright, so is there anyway to install this mod with the stuff that comes with the Half Life 2 Game of the Year edition? For those that don't know it comes with:

    Half Life Source
    Counter Strike Source
    Half Life 2
    Half Life 2 Deathmatch
    Half Life 2 Lost Coast
    Half Life Deathmatch Source


    Anyone know how to make the mod work with any of those? Or do I have to go and buy HL1?

    I'm sorry but you have to buy a real HL. Luckily it doesn't cost a squat and its definitely worth the price. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

    You <b>have</b> to buy HL1. Natural Selection is a mod for Half-Life <b>ONE</b>. All the games that come with the Half Life 2 Game of the Year edition use the SOURCE engine.
