    @KFDM; Thanks. You should definately check it out <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> I'd be interested in feedback coming from an "official" mapper.

    It is based off a irl picture of Minas btw. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":0" border="0" alt="wow.gif" /> Original idea was to put this on the sides of the ship, WWII bomber-style. Something like this;

    But it'd be hardly noticeable as the outside views are not big enough, so for now it's in the RR.

    As we don't currently have fresh news about the "official mappack" puzl mentionned (i'll be submitting this map... *crosses fingers*), i'm going to keep working on it for a future "RC2" version... Wich i hope will be the last one as i'm really tempted to start toying with the source engine for NS2.

    We just ran this on our public server, and encountered some balance issues. The hallways are too huge and long, and the hive room is too large to defend against JPs easily. Overall everyones opinion was that the map was gorgeous and beautiful, but too marine sided. I'll let you know what people say about it later on, and we'll continue to test it out for you!

    Hmm, noted. Thank you for posting feedback & for testing the map. RC1 has a lot more cover, vents & ambush spots than the previous released version already. Hive room should be ok to defend against jp's (4 points) with some leaping skulks (1 point) and possibly focus (2 points, for a total of 3). Not to mention fades & lerks. Hallways are about the same size as those in co_faceoff.

    This said, i'll consider adding two small pieces of random machinery as cover, one in "Purification" and one in "Starboard wing", wich are the two longer hallways. I also <i>may</i> add some sort of pillars, one in the center of the MS and two in the hive, as cover. If i do, those are gonna be weldables. Welding a pillar would make it "go back into the ground", like in "the pit" in ns_machina.

    It would likely be the last things i do in favor of aliens, cause once people (as skulks) will get used to the myriad of ambush spots and the practical vent system, i'm worried about the map being too much <i>alien</i>-biased. And i don't want the map to be too much cluttered, slowing down the gameflow and annoying pr0 fades.

    Nice work again. The grey trim texture next to hive (2nd shot) looks bit odd tho.
