His coming has been noted in the threads he has graced with his heavenly, cantankerous presence, but that's clearly not enough of a welcome-back for an immortal among mortals (also to be fair, most of us are a little less than mortal. Smelly mortal maybe). So let me be the first to welcome back everyone's favorite hard to spell name with a nice, refreshing blast of

With the rebirth of NS into 2, i shall now be referred to as MonsDeux. Not doing anything more useful than adding silly opinions circa my 2001 forum posts. I've been at MS for roughly 2.5 years now, still going strong working with Domain Services and all its acutrements.
Enough about me - what have YOU all been up to?

I've been continuing my edumacashiun & starting another fulltime job to go alongside the fulltime volunteer job I've had here for years. Said new job involves using a lot of the MS software you may be responsible for developing. Along with that you can throw in a little Novell (and corresponding frustration at their lack of a 64bit client for windows), Citrix on vmware, and a bunch of other buzzwords I'm learning to use faster than I'm being taught how/why they work.
P.S. Thanks for that help with my windows bsod's back in the day. I narrowed down the problem a bit after that and you were right, hardware issue.
P.P.S. If you can suggest any way to dig myself out of being pigeonholed into IT Monkey work & instead move towards a career that involves the more engineering-oriented parts of my brain, let me know.

As for me, I've been playing around with some Content Management systems, mainly <a href="http://www.joomla.org/" target="_blank">Joomla!</a> and <a href="http://drupal.org/" target="_blank">Drupal</a>. I've also been picking up some PHP and MySQL. Fun stuff.

@Marik_Steele - Hiya! Pretty heterogenous shop you're in, eh. That can get really interesting. No worries on the BSOD thing, just glad you got it ironed out; there's nothing more frustrating with computers than a random catastrophic crash. What sort of engineering career are you trying to get into?

I just figure that if I pay for an education as a computer/electrical engineer, and I enjoy the process of designing both the hardware & software for cool little projects like robots...I shouldn't be getting myself into a career that starts out as...
