Stand-alone or Steam version?

I'm planning to buy ZoS for my father for christmas, and I wondered which version would be best : The one from zenofsudoku.com or the one on Steam? I recently bought another HL CD-KEY so I could get another Steam account (My dad loves DoD, HL, but he finds NS too fast-paced <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />) so we could both run Steam at the same time without problem.
Now my father will surely want to install ZoS both at home and at work. Could he do that with the stand-alone version or does it only allow one install (due to the activation code) on one computer? If so, then I'd take the Steam version instead, so he could log on the account from work, but then I wouldn't want the rest of the Steam content to load on his computer (he'd have to manually stop everything from downloading or something, but I don't want him to have to go through all the hassle to use his christmas gift, heh). I'd also prefer the stand-alone version, in case Steam have some problems and all... and it also give a bit more money to Flayra and the Gang! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
So what do you guys suggest me?

P.S. If Flayra ever read this: I don't know if that's really a mistake (maybe my English is too bad), but I find this line of the FAQs to sound weird:

To answer your question, either works. The standalone version will allow you to install it on three different computers, and Steam will let you play it anywhere you have Steam installed.
