Steam currently down or what ?

<div class="IPBDescription">Tried 4 times to start steam and can't connect</div>Ok, it is current 18:02 here in Montreal Canada and I have tried 4 times to start my Steam to play my daily NS games but it keeps telling me it failed to connect.

Am the only one or is steam readly down ?

When I hit the troubleshooting link, I wind up in a dead link or something.

and just trying to get to their forum or posting in it is extreamly ssssssslllllllllllllooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!

Apparently, there is an announcement thread stating steam problems for today.

There is currently a wide spread power outage in Bellevue/Seattle impacting Steam Server availability. Unfortunately ETA for when the power will be restored is unknown as the power company will only work on restoring it once the storm has eased and the high winds have died down.

Any issues you are experiencing with connecting to Steam are only temporary, as this isn't an end-user issue.

Please check this Forum or Steam News for further updates.
