Well I would like to see marines around turret factories to be able to pick up the turret and later drop it to desired location near (in range) of the turret factory. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
Turrets will not be able to fire while lifted and players speed should be decreased and gun removed while holding turrets.
Fors: Marines can easily spot great spots for sentries and place them there. Commander would still have to build sentries as before.
Cons: Some marines don't play as they should and would ruin the factory by always moving sentries to impossible locations.
I have no idea what to give aliens to be more interesting.
p.s. This could be a great mod for the game if my idea is not that good.

what if a comm drop a TF the marines build it, the TF opens, and it contains 4-8 turrets? which can be deployed by marines, not by comm, but only within a range
Unless turret factory cost like 30 res and contain 2 turrets for marines to place.
Wall or celling mounted turrets would be too hard to destroy by aliens (like lerk, fade or even gorge).
Also i would like to see more types of turrets. Like advanced turrets that cost more and do more/fire different
I read the more alien chambers suggestion and i like it (Chamber mounted to a gorge). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/turret.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::sentry::" border="0" alt="turret.gif" />

I thought about already containing turrets in turret factory but that would uneven the game since it would be instant protection against skulk attacks.

flame turrets would be cool, as would "sniper" turrets that have extended range for those long hallways.
Gorges could use "+use" command on it to bring up a simple menu to either
pick up
or
make it engage movement/relocate mode <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />.
(both modes or suggestions would have the OC offline of course)
Picking it up make the gorge superslow but would allow to place the OC to a precise spot.
Choosing the relocate mode would have the three "arms" of the OC overturn their joints down so that they could walk on them like on legs. They would be slightly faster and would follow the gorge like those hostages in Counterstrike.
The walking OC should be faster than having the gorge picking it up and should only act as a faster way to bring them to a different location.
But to keep it simple, I think picking it up alike a marine could do would be easier to implement.
For marines, a cheaper/weaker TF could have deployable turrets by having marines "use" it and drop them within radius.

this has already been suggested, but i have another idea:

That would be perfect <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> but also the comm would need to purchase the amount of turrents that are in the turret factory after it is dropped.
Also the marines would need some kind of visual representation (perhaps appears on the minimap) to the radius of the turret factory.
infact what - with the comm's permission you could move any of the marine buildings <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> - to combat the gorges moving chambers around. <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?s=1098740759479061376&showtopic=99562&st=20" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index....99562&st=20</a>
this would be interesting when sieging a hive, as you could build your TF and Sieges in place and then just move them into position after they have been built in a safe place. - the balancing fact would be that you can;t shoot while you move a object. it would seem much more military than the original way. but of course that option would still be available.
