*sigh*... The contradiction was that he wanted the wolves to win, yet said that killing him would help in that.

He meant it like this: (If) he was a human, then (If) the person who led the vote against him was a wolf.

He wanted wolves to win, since he is a human and a wolf is leading the vote against him to kill him, and the humans are following the wolf's plan, so he voted himself to kill himself so that the wolf's plans work.

Okay, lets put it this way:

You are, in fact, a human. Someone leads a vote against you, claiming you are a wolf. Everyone follows with the person who claims they are the wolf. You are frustrated that no one(specifically the humans) listens to you.

You are angry at the humans, then you decide to help the wolf's plan work by killing yourself.

That is what Eternally_Lost was implying.

That was what the statement is suppose to imply.

Not to break the whole Eternally_Lost situation, but this is looking very dire.

There are 10 players left. If all 4 wolves are alive, this is the last day humans have a chance to turn this around.

I'm confident that Eternaly_Lost was a wolf, which would bring it down to three wolves.

One would hope by now, we would of killed 1 or 2 statistically at the minimum. As for the Eternally Lost thing, voting for himself still makes no sense to me. Being angry and making dumb votes to screw over your supposed team mates... riiiight Petco.

Last time a vote got lead against me, I tried to talk some sense into people, not curl up and die.

Again, my post was to defend/clarify what Eternally_Lost meant. Also, this is a game, teammates do not mean friends, especially if they are trying to kill you.

I know Eternally_Lost was pretty wolfish with the defensiveness and agree he probably was a wolf. My defense to his statement was merely pointing out how his statement isn't so "dumb" as you say it is.

I agree eternaly_lost was most likely a wolf. That last line in his post just screamed "I'm a wolf!!!"

People that go around immediately accusing others annoy me a bit. For the past two days, within 10 minutes of Freak posting the "It's now Day X" story, im_lost posts accusing someone, the first time with a IRC log and the last time just because Petco tried to explain what eternaly_lost may have been trying to say. While Petco's actions are moderately suspicious, I could buy that he's just trying to explain what eternaly_lost was (poorly) attempting to say. Im_lost garners my vote for always being the first one to accuse someone. That seems rather wolfish to me.

It does seem a bit wolfish. Keep in mind that you're describing the person that used to go out of his way to vote for someone within the first five minutes of the start of the game, though, so I have no problem with rushing to votes (take that however you will). Even though I haven't given much as far as reasoning goes, I'm fairly certain that voting for Eternaly_Lost was the right thing to do; I was sure of that when I voted for him, not just after he voted for himself.

Now with Petco, I'm not as sure. However, I had been suspicious of him throughout the game, and his post at the end of the day would have screamed with suspicion even if I wasn't sure that Eternaly_Lost was a wolf.

This might as well be an auto-append, since absolutely nothing has happened in the past 24 hours.

Xentor
Petco

So, why hasn't anyone done anything? There are several accusations going around, any of those would be easy enough to agree with. There are probably other reasons that could be used for voting if you don't like the reasons people have given so far. You could even do a random.org vote if there's nothing better for you to do. I don't think today is going to end with an instalynch like the last couple of days, so everyone needs to vote.

I have no idea who to vote. All my accusations are either dead or moot. Thus, there is no reason for me to vote until more information has come up, which it looks like it is not going to happen.

And really im_lost, random.org at this point? That's just wasting a vote, with no direction whatsoever.
• im_lostim_lost TWG Rule Guru Join Date: 2003-04-26 Member: 15861Members
Yes, random.org is silly at this point, but it would be better than what most people are doing at this point, ignoring the game completely (or at least pretending to). If no one does anything, then there's no possibility of more information coming up.

Well, I guess I better make a vote for the moment. I really hope Eternally_lost was a wolf and we're really down to 3 wolves here (or less).

There's a lot to think about here... To be honest, I can't reliably place a vote.

However, it does appear to me that Petco's defense of Eternally Lost's statement was just of the statement itself, and I don't believe I can vote for him because of that.

Earlier in the game he didn't do this, then most recently he started back up. I think by suddenly being on the offensive, he's trying to draw attention off of himself (notice that's around the time the artifact was found.......coincidence? Maybe). That's just a bit too suspicious for me. You have it backwards EMP_Demon: He's shifting the attention off of himself by being offensive, I'm just moving it back.

I went on the offensive because I had enough information to make educated decisions. It certainly wasn't an effort to take attention off of myself. Even with all of my activity earlier in the game, I wasn't drawing any votes from people. When I went on the offensive, I actually expected more people to vote for me. I'm quite confused by the distribution of votes right now, actually. I'm not going to complain about the vote distribution, since the person I'm most suspicious of is at the top of the list, but I'm still surprised by it.

Well, I was hoping to force Chakuu to talk, but I guess it doesn't matter at this point. To be honest, I suspect im_lost more than Petco at this point. If Petco is a wolf, there is no reason for him to post at the end of the day when the person is auto-lynched; it's just calling attention to himself. I just don't see it happening. Im_lost attacking that, plus some other suspicions, seem to make a weak case to vote for Petco.

Granted, there have been very stupid things happening this game (screaming_tree4 dies from voting himself, Eternally_lost's interesting last statement, demiguise voting himself out...), so I can't be to definite about this.

Chakuu: I probably would have sad something earlier today had I not been out of town since Friday. I had been planning to tell people this but it slipped my mind. As for the rest of the game, I don't like to vote if I don't need to/don't have a reason(have I mentioned I'm an obsessive procrastinator?); however, I am often on IRC.

To the situation at hand: I'm at somewhat of a loss here, but I do have a few points...

im_lost-I don't have a reason to suspect you at the moment. I do however, have a problem with the "blank check" I feel you've had throughout the game. Until now, nobody has placed any suspicion on you(the rule misconception at the beginning doesn't count), or really asked any questions. At times, I feel like you're the host, and I think others might feel the same way, forgetting that you're a player. Just something for people to consider.

Petco- Making a statement that appears to defend someone who everyone believes to be a wolf is quite stupid if you want to live. So, I buy in to what Theslan just said, that a wolf would not be that stupid. Or maybe he would, this last day was kind of <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" /> . Or maybe he knows that people would not believe a wolf would be that stupid and would therefore assume him human. This game is annoying in that regard(anticipating other's reaction, I mean). I don't see a reason for him to take the risk, so I'll buy it for now...

At this time, I have no one to vote for.

“So what are we all doing back here?” asked TheAdj.

“I’m wondering about that myself…” responded Chakuu.

It seemed as if no-one knew quite why exactly they had all been called together into the main hall of the mansion. But indeed, the remaining ten contestants were all huddled together, trying avoid the spot where screaming_tree4 lay dead on the ground crushed underneath a ladder. There was a couple of minutes of awkward silence between the group before a voice shattered the silence. “Thank you for all coming back here on such short notice, but we’ve now reached a turning point in this game.”

The crowd turned towards the door leading into the boardroom where out had just stepped Freak83.

“Sorry, what exactly do you mean by that?” asked GrayDuck.

“Well, quite simply, there are only ten of you remaining out of the original seventeen. Most of you have been wandering around my mansion almost aimlessly, and on an occasion or two even wandering out of bounds.”

At these words there was a murmuring between the group - what exactly was classified as out of bounds?

“So now what do you expect us to do? This is sick! So many of us have already died and you want us to just keep killing each other?” asked Comprox.

Surprisingly at these words, Freak83 sighed. “Actually Comprox, that’s your only option. This isn’t a competition for money, this is now a competition for your very survival. Until my staff has been killed you won’t stop dieing. On the rare chance that you’re actually able to succeed and kill them, only then will you be able to go free.”

“So… why did you call us together?” asked im_lost somewhat confused now.

“Why to speed up the process of course. Now please hurry and fight for your life.”

At these words Freak83 turned around and walked back out of the room. “Alright, what we have to do now I think is find a way out of this place.” Started im_lost. “In order to do this we have -”

Without warning Isamil screamed and charged towards im_lost with a dagger. im_lost turned in shock and horror as the dagger was shoved towards his heart when - he began to glow.

Isamil looked in horror as the dagger hit im_lost and began to melt as if it were ice that had just collided with fire. “Wh…what’s going on!?” Isamil cried out.

im_lost reached into his pocket and everyone stared in awe. He was holding the Artifact. Isamil began to glow too, and as he started to glow, he began to melt just like the dagger had - and with it so did the Artifact. In mere seconds, Isamil had been reduced to nothing.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Artifact has now been used! As I PM’d to im_lost when he received it…

“Congratulations! You have entered the correct combination and have recieved the Artifact!

This mysterious and ancient figurine posseses mysterious magical powers. It will protect you from being killed by your fellow players during the daytime phase of the game. In the event of you being lynched or instalynched you will not die. In addition, if you are lynched, the last player to vote for you will die in your place. In the event of an instalynch, the player to cast the killing vote will die in your place.

If you are wolfed during the nightime phase of the game however, you will still die as normal and the Artifact will be dropped in the room you died in. In this event, the first player to search that room will find the Artifact. The Artifact cannot be transfered to another player while you are alive, and you cannot choose to cancel the effect upon being lynched.

After being used once, the Artifact becomes inactive and can not be used again. Upon being used, this message will be posted in the thread visible for everyone to read.”

Night Six will end Monday at 9:00 PM EST. There is no need to move around the map any more. Only the Guardian, Seer, and Wolves (if alive) need to send me PM’s at this point.

Everyone stood still in awe at what they had just witnessed. But it was perhaps im_lost himself who’s jaw seemed to hang the longer than anyone else. It was he after all, who had just felt first hand what it was like to experience true power. The Artifact which was now just a pile of ash, was mere moments ago the result of almost limitless energy fused together into one tiny little object. It was this power which the candid organisation they seemed to be here within belonged to.

“Ahem...” said im_lost clearing his throat with the obvious need to break the silence. “What’s done is done, but for now we need to concentrate on getting out of here without anyone else dieing.”

“Didn’t you hear what Freak83 said!? That’s not going to work! There’s people among us who are here to kill us! And what’s more is that I saw wolves around this place. And not just normal wolves either! These ones can walk through solid walls!” shouted EMP_Demon with obvious panic in his voice.

“Then what do you suggest we should do?” asked im_lost.

“I’ll tell you what…” said Xentor, “Freak83 said that some people had been out of bounds which obviously means there’s something here we’re not supposed to find. Let’s look for it.”

“You know… I’ve seen a lot of adventure movies and in a situation like this, it’s always a hidden lever or a book that you have to pull out of a shelf to activate a secret passageway. Since we’ve been everywhere in this place, there’s got to be some hidden place we haven’t found yet.” Added Petco helpfully.

“I’m glad to see we’re all on the same side then! Let’s start in the boardroom since that’s where Freak83 just came from and went to!” said im_lost.

Together the remaining nine members walked into the boardroom of the mansion and began to search. They pulled out chairs from around the table, crawled on their hands and knees around the room, and felt around the edge of the giant whiteboard and picture frames in the room. Even Theslan felt brave enough to check under Mantrid’s corpse to see if there was anything there. They were just about to give up hope when – “Hey! Check this out!”

Everyone looked towards TheAdj who had just come across something. It was a hidden door, camouflaged into the wall to look as if it wasn’t even there. With no hesitation TheAdj yanked it open which provided fresh air to flow into the room. “I was wondering how we were supposed to get into the courtyard…” said Comprox curiously.

In a single file line (now clearly entranced by the mystery of the situation) everyone walked outside into the center of the mansion. The nine remaining members stood in the center of the courtyard at last. To the north, east, and west, there was a giant glass window which they were able to peer into the respective corridors. On the south end there was a plain and tall brick wall which was evidently blocking the mansions main hall.

The courtyard was relatively plain, with some shrubbery and small gardens throughout the place. The only notably different area was in the south-west corner of the courtyard where there was a small pond. “Is there really anything here for us to find?” asked Chakuu with clear scepticism in his voice.

In response, Comprox walked over to the pond, took off his shoes and socks and waded into it. It wasn’t deep and the water reached just about to his kneecaps. “What exactly are you trying to do?” asked im_lost.

“Oh c’mon… whatever’s here has to be in the water for us to find. Maybe a hidden switch or something…” said Comprox.

Comprox waded around clearly hunting for something as people looked at him curiously. He almost looked like a duck hunting for food as he walked in circles with his head down poking around. “Huff, huff… this is exhausting” he said wiping his sweaty forehead with his hand.

“You’re joking right? You’re barely doing anything!” exclaimed Theslan amazed. But in response Comprox sat down right in the center of the bond gasping for breath, loosening the buttons on his shirt. At this, several people started to look worried. “Come on… let’s get you out of there” said GrayDuck reaching for his arm and starting to pull.

GrayDuck grabbed Comprox’s arm and began to pull him over, as he came closer his right leg became more visible and several people gasped. His flesh seemed to be melting away! No wonder he was losing energy. GrayDuck now assisted by EMP_Demon now managed to pull Comprox out of the water, but from what they saw they had to wonder if it did any good. His legs we’re bubbly like they had been burned and at several portions his bone was exposed. Comprox layed onto the ground gasping for breath in serious pain.

“That was water a moment ago!” exclaimed Xentor in shock. “There’s something wrong with this place! That’s not water anymore! It’s acid!”

“And one thing is for sure…” added Petco as Comprox stopped gasping and his eyes went into a dead stare. “This was definitely the work of someone here."

Well. Now that the artifact's been used, and we all know its power and who has it, the game is pretty much gone to the last stages.

We know at least 1 wolf is dead (yay) or else we wouldn't be playing this at this point. There are 1-3 wolves left now.

With that said, I hope there are some human roles that are alive. We're going to need them to pull through this.

Ok, so let's kill more wolves... Right now, the one I suspect the most is still TheAdj, so let the day begin.

Since it looks like today is baseless accusation day again, I'll go with graywolf.....err grayduck.

Right. So... it seems we have 2 people accusing and the rest of us staying backwards/silent/etc. Strangely, im_lost is now quiet after artifact been used... probably his confidence was in the artifact (or he's somewhere else... I recall he went on a trip and was in a hotel).

In either case, this is not good. We need more votes out here, if anything. Xentor, why TheAdj? TheAdj, why Grayduck? Random accusations aren't going to help anyone at this point... give us reasons, people. Please.

Current votes:
TheAdj (1) - Xentor
Grayduck (1) - TheAdj

People haven't voted:
im_lost
Petco
EMP_Demon
Chakuu
Theslan
GrayDuck
