Problem with Microphone

Hey, first post here
I have a problem and google has let me down so I have nowhere to turn :/
My brother cant hear people's mics in NS, He has all the options turned on etc etc. He can transmit fine, im able to understand him in game and other people can as well but he cant hear a word anybody else says.. Anybody have a solution or might know one?

Can he hear other sounds in the game? Is cl_voiceenable set to 1? Check your voice receive volume.
