i think my ak is better <img src='http://bai.elixant.com/ak_render.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /> i didnt have time to enter it uc... lol skin job sucks kus it was done by me.
I think its pretty obvious who's gonna win now. Though i also think people are voting on which looks best instead of looking at the skillz and all that. Which would explain why the futuristic guns are ownzing. I voted for Coltrane's.

I voted for the biohazard rifle because it seems like the best modeled gun. phyco's is great but it doesnt look finished. As well as much as i love AK-47's too, i don't particularly like cookeh's rendition of it. besides basing it on which looks best and skill are just about the same thing, because if you have skill, it will look good, uc?
You can make a futuristic gun that looks cool even if you stuff heaps up, as it has no set design, but if you stuff up sections on a modern based gun it really gets noticed.

except most of these models have a concept first, so we can see where they deviate.
i'll let you know that there are 6 models that won my vote, i couldn't decide between any of them, some are really nice real-world, some are futeristic designs... and well, the rest aren't the best, but deserve a pat on the back regardless.
i'm really proud of the guys that particepated in the competition, keep up the great work and we can get even more high quality models like we did with this batch.
one thing that hit me when i see the 3d view is that there a DOZENS of face errors! a good modeller must ALWAYS fix this, by hook or by crook, it makes the models more professional looking and neat

woooo someone voted for me! seriously though, is model that bad? i know the minigun isnt the best, but i thought my other was pretty cool. especially for not having anything to base it off of.
hmm.. Now I'm kind of embarrassed, because of my other model compared to that lmg.. It contains so many face errors etc. because it was made on a hurry ... :D

phyce's model is nice to... kidna was a tie to vote, but then i looked at the polycount and that kinda pulled me through (lower poly = better ;p)
His is much more interesting then the normal m4a1 or ak47 or something...
looks quite pretty too.
