Heya all,
I'm currently writing a comprehensive guide for anyone playing NS, from beginners to vets, with everything from Kharaa structures, models, evolutions, strategies, combat tactics etc etc. I just wanted to get some info off the dev team if possible. Needed to know things like ingame mechanics (if I can get some of that info) i.e. exactly how much dmg things do to armor/health, how well offence chambers lock onto marines, speed of gas dmg etc etc. Those little things that I know how they work, how many hits etc it takes, how long gas takes to kill rines (roughly) but I need specifics. My guide is currently a WIP (work in progress), but once I have completed first draft, I would appreciate feedback from the dev team and from the community at large.

Also, a simple yet time consuming solution would be to just play the game and test these things yourself.
Exact dmg that marine attacks dmg aliens with different armor lvls (i.e. cara L1,2,3)
Exact dmg that Kharaa attacks do to marines with L0,1,2,3 armor
Accuracy of Offence chambers locking onto marines (time takes, how well they can be diverted by structures)
Accuracy of Turrets and how fast they lock onto kharaa
Exact dmg dealt by L0,1,2,3 turrets.
How many hits it takes to kill a L0,1,2,3 structure/turret.
Exact damage dealt by lurk gas (how fast it works, time it lasts)
I think that's it for now.
I do have the manual and have read the forums, these were specific questions that I need answers to.
If I could get those answers, I'd be grateful.

It will answer every question you can possibly think of.
Now if you want to make a manual that is going to stand up to the test of time, then I wouldn't put exact figures into it, the main reason is because we are still in Beta and all numbers are subject to change at any given time for the ultimate reason of balance.
Your locking on and accuracy question is probably only known by a few people, the only way I know to find out would be to test it...sv_cheats 1 on a local machine is great!!!!
