Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell 2, KOTOR, Warzone 2100, Raven Shield, and Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries are all fun single player experiences.

In case you're interested in something a little more 'up-to-date', I'd suggest Thief 3, which is doubtlessly the single best piece of SP gaming I had this year so far. And before the unwashed masses storm in and go "OGM ION STORM SUx LOOK aT DX2 olo", just play the game. Thief suffers from not a single of the issues that made Invisible War lukewarm.

Go fish Sacrifice out of the bargain bin. You won't be sorry. Once you get over the learning curve, that is.

If you enjoy mindless shooting, get Far Cry. Baldur's Gate is old, but still quite enjoyable. KotOR was ok, too. Need for Speed Underground is pretty fun.

Agreed with SoulSkorpion, Sacrifice is really really worth it. try Medieval/Shogun Total War if you can too. In RPG, i guess Planescape Torment could be worth it, as well as KOTOR. As FPS, try out Serious Sam 1/2 without cheating if you didnt make it already .

You could try Mafia. Basically you are a taxi driver and end up a gangster. Obviously there is a lot more to it than that but I'll try not to spoil it. Graphics are decent. It plays like GTA3 or 4, better storyline anyway IMO.

Gangsters 2 is a good game. Sometimes becomes frustrating and the urge to cheat rises amazingly, but still a good game if you're after a little fun.

Come on Flint, Max Payne practically defined the "to have loved and lost... with a vengeance" plot. It's tres original.

Great FPS's, they crack me up, and have tons of good content to keep you going.

I looked upon the shattered remains of my former life glistening at me like shards of glass on a slippery sidewalk. My steps crunched shattered glass under my feet and the sounds echoed through the empty streets like laughing ghosts, the path to vengence would be paved with my broken dreams.

Come on, how can you NOT love film noir.

generic film noir, what else do you expect.

I liked it the first time around, but then I just skipped all the story seeing how boring it became to have half the game listening to Payne talk.

Yes, you should. Get rid of your TNT2 and get a Radeon, you won't regret it.

GeForceFX 5600 256MB. Shutup, it probably beats yours.

Increase the difficulty? Its the hardest it got and the guys were still bums. And even so- what about games like Halo/Raven Shield where the AI is good no matter WHAT difficulty level, just a little bit stupider and not as good with aim/skills. And don't say "OMG those are shooting games, this is stealth"-regardless of the game type, good AI is something that is required. And that is ESPECIALLY true of stealth games- if your wanting to be stealthy, then the only way it can be fun at all is if the AI is smart enough to figure out where you are and when.

edit: And to put games down that should be here:
Homeworld 1 & 2
The Sims(I know, I know, but its good when you aren't playing much)
Neverwinter Nights
Baldur's Gate 1&2
Morrowind
Roller Coaster Tycoon Series
Sim City 4

I tried not to mention obvious ones...which as to what someone said earlier: NOLF 1 & 2 PWN YOU SUCKA. Funny, good AI, and kickass to boot.

I won't write them all, mostly because it's 01:28 and I can't remember much...

- Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis
- Morrowind
- Beyond Good and Evil
- Halo

Erm.. My mind is really empty right now... x_x
