well i've hit a rather large and annoying snag....
i cant finish skinning the body map. i mean i can finish doing it in photoshop but it wont fit the model correctly, specifically the area where the square holes are. the modelling needs to be redone on that whole flat area not to mention being remeshed to my skin which i can prob do without a working model.
some how the map doesn't match up with the model at all, and i tried fixing it but the only way is through totally "neatly" remodelling that plane which i dont have time for right now.
as soon as this is fixed i can fly through this mesh... but until then it's gonna look like ****.

I don't think that's REDD's problem. Who did the mesh on this? Cookie? That's who you need to get in contact with. The UVWMap needs work, not the model itself.

well imma finish skinning the uv to how i think it should be... then i'll post the maps... then it's up to whoever to correctly mesh it to the model.

BTW i wont be following a lot of the uv map, i'm just gonna paint it out how i think it should be and u'll have to figure out what each thing represents. i might upload the hacked up model that i'm using to adjust my skin... maybe u can use it, but it's a pretty big mess and really i'm only using it to see how the skin is looking. i just remodelled some faces and remeshed areas of it so it looked right. problem is i deleted a bunch of faces etc and didnt really care for face errors as long as i could see my skin comin out.
i must say... redd msut of been really lazy when it came to the body of that model... there's random faces and wasted stuff everywhere.... there's even remains of an old barrel inside the body. i dunno WTH is goin on lol. u can even see one of the original face errors in ice's screenie (back of the slide in the middle pic)
lol sorreh. There will of been face errors because thats the first time i modelled in a different way, i didnt really know what i was doing. Probably best to start on simpler things. I could only see the error in ice's shot once it had been ported into ms3d, so i thought it may of been smoothing. Once youve posted what you've done so far dreal i'll remodel the body or w/e if you still want me to, then that section needs remeshing etc.

i didn't finish it cause there's still a lot to change and i dont like rushing, but it gives u an idea of waht exactly i'm doing.
you'll notice that on the body the slits are just holes, well i made a seperate area in the lower right on the uv for the rectangular pieces on the model that are going across the holes.
ok, ive basically fixed that error, but there is going to be some slight stretching there, no way to fix it unless you reskin it all over again, or add in a few more verticies
