"The seventh floor at last...." thought Bason as it sped to the top floor, encountering no bodies, no Khaara, <i>nothing</i>; it seemed however, that the stair cases were recently traveled due to the microsphoic remnants the Khaara leave behind as they walk, much like human skin flakes.
Cautiously looking around the corner Bason saw the door to the V.I.P corridor was opened wide, several corpses littered it, both Khaara and Marine, normally a human would despair but Bason merely was more careful as it approached the hallway.
With amusement Bason tracked a skulk slowly approaching him via cloaking, the disturbance in the air was easily detected by it's refined sensors and shot a quick blast of flames, incinerating the skulk without problems.
However; Bason heard the tell tale sign of a hiss and the clicked footsteps of a swarm of Khaara; quickly lowering it's slug gun at the door way Bason shot off a burst as six skulks bursted through, each was quickly destoryed to it's surperior weaponry. . . . another wave approached and received the last wave's reward.
Even Bason found it suspicious they'd suicidally charge itself, then. . realization dawned at the corpse corridor, the marines had to be serverely outnumbered---they were going to swarm itself.
With a shriek a steady stream of skulks rushed out to meet Bason, teeth glinting, quickly pulling out the flame thrower Bason hovered backwards into the wall and let out the full capacity of it's flame thrower upon the skulks, most of them were quickly incinerated, a clever few walked on walls to avoid it however and for them Bason quickly re-aimed it's flame thrower and quickly did away with them, at least it thought it did as it <i>clicked</i> out of ammo.
The remaining half dozen of skulks viciously charged the remaining feet to Bason to deliver death dealing bites, however, Bason was fully aware of this and horizatally swung it's slug gun and knocked two skulks to the wall, 1 fell down in death and another was uselessly scrambling at the wall in it's death throes, the other four came with a fierce glint in their eye's.
Bason went out to meet them, it's fist came down upon an over-zealous skulk's jaw and "broke" it, the important thing was it didn't get back up when it's snout gave a satisfying <i>crack </i>noise.
The other three latched on upon Bason, Bason then felt the emotion of amusement as the skulks uselessly bit at it's surperior armor and easily shook them from it's body, so was Bason's strength.
They growled, and charged again to see the slug gun's cross hairs upon them, only realization could re-act fast enough as their innards joined their bretheren's on the walls.
Startled by the assault Bason visibly checked itself, only a few minor breachs from bites and a completely useless flame thrower, looking forward Bason knew a re-charge station was on this floor as well, in cases where they could use supplies in a last stand. . . . which failed without it.
Entering the gore stained corridor Bason looked about, the noise it caused should of alerted any more Khaara and satisfied it was safe for the moment went to a door on the left, which was still closed thankfully, and thusly began entering a password into the button pad on it's right side.
<i>Crunch</i>.
Bason looked around and saw the onos give a triumpthith grin.
This is gona be good!! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
The onos then charged, his weight causing the tiled ground to lightly shake at each step as it accumulated speed, without any time to re-act Bason was caught in the charge and was slammed into the door by the onos's vicious gore and literally the door gave into the force of the blow, Bason was sent flying across the room.
The onos then began to rip out the remaining bits of the door to finish Bason, this room was a training hall by the look of it, it was at least sixty feet long and thirty feet wide, no wonder why it'd have a resupply area. . . even as it's body zoomed and bounced the last feet to the back of the wall of the so said room.
Bason didn't spend anymore time idlely spectating as it looked down upon it's torso to see that it had sparks spewing out, quickly deactivating power to that section of the chest to prevent a massive electric leak Bason lost it's ability to move the chest around; however that was a minor problem as the onos finished breaking the door down, Bason was knocked back by a weapon rack towards the back of the room, totally useless TSA weaponry, even outdated training standard.
Then the onos began another charge, intent on finishing Bason, however; Bason began to fly up and aimed his slug gun at the onos as it approached within 20 feet, easily getting off 1.......2....3....shots?
The onos shrugged off the bullets and gave it an even more imtiminating look then it already had as it awaited Bason to run out of fuel, which it was due to the alittude it was at, then an idea came into mind and Bason allowed itself to fall. . .
On the onos's back.
The roar it gave was deafening as it began to shake off Bason, Bason however, had a solid grip on it's flesh and slowly crawled over it's back to the head itself, the onos wasn't anymore pretty at this distance and Bason saw it's head covered with slug gun pellets, they were imbeded in the carapace but seemed more like bee stings on a human's flesh then anything else.
Wasting no time on words Bason shot another round of slug gun pellets at the back of the onos's head, the roar was deafening . . . . it then brought out tentacles that Bason didn't see earlier and realized that it must of been the cause of it's pain even as they gripped Bason's lower torso and flung him to the far right side of the onos, Bason hit another wall again, a venom covered Bason as well but it was obvious that it would have no effect on an android.
Running out of options Bason knew what to do then, even as the onos gave a half hearted charge at Bason, Bason hover directly at the onos, fists first and gave the onos a mild surprise as it's fists hit the jaw of the onos; rearing back instinctively the onos gave a roar as it grinned and opened wide to devour the foolish android....then the onos knew nothing as the last round of slug gun pellets shot through the back of it's throat and directly into it's brain, causing the onos finally to collaspe in it's death theores.
Bason stumbled backwards, completely depleted of ammo and serverely damaged it began to limp to the resupply computer at a weapon stash at the left of the room, however, Bason knew triumpth.
After resupplying at a computer that was very similiar to the fifth floor's, smaller, but it served it's purpose even as Bason checked all of it's systems and walked out of the former training room, giving a last back glance upon the onos to make sure it was dead, Bason knew it was but couldn't help it's paranoia. . . Bason didn't fear destruction, it only feared failure upon destruction, it had to search for the remaining marines--- provided any were left.
Crouching to get out of the ruined door Bason noticed the skulk corpses were thankfully still where they were, looking down the gore stained corridor Bason noted the same butchered veterans that gave this last fight; then moved down the corridor to the end, to finally solve the painful outcome, to the commander's room.
The tiles groaned under the abuse Bason gave them as it entered the code to the commander's door and opened, it's eye stopped swirling as the door revealed it's gruesome contents.
The commander always had a fetish with old time inventions such as oak desks, oak chairs for that matter, a disk player, and several master crafted rugs, both stained with the blood of the commander whom was slumped against his overstuffed chair, his face clearly half melted. The bottom of his body was exposed to it's very bone around the hip and one of the legs was very well sliced off, which oddly had tissue to clot the stump's bleeding that would of killed the Commander....
Then Bason noticed the medical packs upon the desk, several were empty of nanites but surely the commander couldn't of used them and be in this condition. . . . Bason's eye swirled about and saw several of the commander's officers dead, they were in varying places in the easily 30 by 30 foot room, but most were slouched against a wall or fell where they died, all deaths from a fatal stab wound, the heart was the most popular followed by a quick slash across the throat.
Suddenly frightened Bason turned on it's blue vision, the one that allowed it to see the Khaara via disruptions in the natural flow of light and from the very skin tissues that the Khaara shedded through stenerous activities such as sprinting down a corridor.
Horrified at what it saw Bason saw rows of eggs on the ground behind the desk, most likely to devour the dead flesh to allow the eggs to evolve beyound the standard skulk form. . . "That won't be happening." Bason's voice luckily didn't ever sound differen't even when an emotion was in effect.
Walking around the gore stained oak desk; Bason knelt down by an egg and began bringing down it's fist, easily crushing through what several bullets couldn't penertrate, retracting his blood coated fist Bason began to on the next egg, that is, until it heard <i>him</i>.
"Are we just browsing or have one already selected?" Kalar growled, coming from behind of Bason, however, his face held an inhumanly long smile.
Author's Note: I didn't realize how many horrible typos and incorrectly used words I had, I've editted the first three parts of the story and will edit more, I have lapses in my writing due to my need of inspiration, I get my inspiration from my NS experiences, which I'm off to play now to get some.
And as always. I will give more detail to these recent rushed parts of the story, reading through the beginning I realized I'm rushing through this a bit to quickly.

Author: Bason reached the sixth floor about roughly the Khaara finished the commander off.
Dignifying itself Bason got up from smashing the eggs and backed off a bit, Kalar was in the doorway and smiled his inhuman grin, one that nearly split to the back of his head, he began to casually walked inside, stepping over an impaled marine, looking down at his handywork in satisfaction as the stale iron smell of blood was in the air.
"How did you manage to sneak upon me. . . ?" Bason asked in it's slightly booming voice, it wanted to at least make Kalar think of it as an equal as Bason crept further backwards toward the room, hoping to keep it's distance.
The grin seemed to strench further then stopped, it turned into a frown as Kalar spoke once more in an amused voice, "I've been watching you since the skulks were incinerated on this floor, its interesting to see the capabilities of one that matchs Lamdeer's. . . you're almost <i>equal</i> to him." malice began to creep into Kalar's voice at the mention of Lamdeer, he was getting dangerously close.
"Lamdeer?" Bason asked aloud, it knew that this word may distract this fade further as it began to formulate a plan to escape.
Kalar didn't speak about Lamdeer but clear anger shined in his eyes as his voice turned into a growl, "I believe we haven't been properly introduced, my name is Commander Kalar."
Oddly Bason felt the urge to reply itself, "Prototype Combat Droid Bason." with a stiff bow Bason began to sense tension in Kalar. . . it was odd from normal fades, he had much thicker carapace, his claws shined with their keeness and several other minor details, but the capability of such thought was what kept Bason from shooting him now.
Amusement once again flickered through Kalar's eyes as he stopped, he then pointed a claw at Bason as a human's hand would, the similarity was disturbing, more disturbing as there were corpses about Kalar.
"Join the Khaara, you've proven yourself worthy of it....Bason...." Kalar awaited, his body gestures showing Bason he was dead serious as he subconsciously exhumed a scent of adrenaline.
"Humanity will prevail without this machine Kalar, however, I doubt these Khaara will survive without <i>you</i>." Bason then shot a full round of slug gun into Kalar, or thought it did as Kalar's deep laughter boomed about Bason.
Kalar was no where in sight, quickly looking about Bason nearly couldn't avoid the attack from it's right as Kalar viciously slashed downwards, missing by mere inches, Bason's own flamethrower came up to toast this Kalar but saw that he'd disappear once again, quickly moving for the doorway Bason nearly tripped over a marine that was in a lake of his own crimson.
"Whats the matter droid, are you inept at fighting your programmed foe?" with that Kalar stabbed at Bason's exposed left side, viciously cutting into the steel that was reinforced that it took an onos to charge to even penertrate it. . .
Bason didn't have to worry about bleeding and quickly shot a flame at it's left and then heard a growl of pain as Kalar disappeared once more, Bason "smelled" burning, it'd finally hit Kalar, though it's side was in considerable damage, turning on it's hover jets Bason began to zoom out of the doorway, a roar was heard as Kalar leapt upon Bason's back with considerable strength, Kalar began to allow his claw to swing down at the droid's head.
Quickly trying to shake off Kalar Bason's flame thrower moved at an angle that a human's couldn't and shot off a flame to Kalar's head, the claw that was coming down upon it's head was averted as Kalar gave a low grunt of pain, the weight seemed to disappear and Kalar's voice was about him once more.
"It seems I have underestimated you. . . . you're <i>equal</i> to Lamdeer." the voice was in pain, Bason's eye swirled about and saw Kalar's body re-form by the door the onos knocked down, now crouching and aiming his arm, and saw the arm's opening pucker, quickly firing another slug gun round Bason was confused as acid shot out of Kalar's arm and incinerated the pellets and fell short of Bason itself.
Quickly shooting it's jets backwards Kalar disappeared once more, not laughter greeted Bason as a deep snarl surrounded it, the corpses of the veterans a haunting show of how capable of this fade's intelligence, the tension Bason felt was from Kalar's immense capability of speed. . . it'd never seen him due to the fact he could easily disappear from sight, only in-combat did Kalar ever have the need to slow down. . .
The doors all about Bason began to close, besides a decommisioned elevator to the first floor. . . which now hummed, it's senses told Bason not to go down but it had no choice as all the doors were going into emergency lock down, though Bason could break them all down it'd leave itself vulnerable. . . far to vulnerable. . . .
Bason then went into the elevator, it was stained with the blood Khaara and human alike, the elevator began going down to the first floor, it was a foreboding sight as Kalar's voice came over the station, a cruel tone in his voice.
"We shall settle this upon the first floor o' Bason, do not think of fleeing as I can easily encounter you anywhere else, let us see how humanity's new pet fares against the elite of the Khaara. . ." Kalar grinned to himself in satisfaction from the third floor security room, he had kept the room in the back of his mind to blink to if he needed to escape, this would ensure Bason's demise even as Kalar saw Bason's impassive face await it's doom.
Kalar then got up from the computer chair and with a single precise swing of a claw exterminated the computer's power source permanently, then began to teleport itself to the first floor. . . . .
"<i>This time, it is even. . . o' champion of man kind." </i>Kalar thought viciously.
By the way, I will edit and improve the story after I finish it as I did with Yet Another Tale of a Marine. And I appreciate the feed back Tommy and also enjoyed your story. Also, thanks for everyone's support thus far.
One thing I think is a bit silly, is this fade is able to cut through what an onos could only dent?
I was under the impression he was jsut a normal fade, just with leet haxy skillz and a brain, no extra strength <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Think of Kalar as this: He has literally every upgrade and can sepress any upgrade at will, usually Silence as that doesn't allow him to speak as effectively. (AKA, he has focus)
His claws are basically keen enough from his focus upgrade to cut into Bason, also his acid can corrod (I think thats how you spell it) Bason's armor.
Since when do fades pick up gorges lol <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Bason saw the numbers slowly go down, it thought about relatively nothing, only a sense of regret that if it failed that the TSA would never know that it existed or the battle droid project succeeded. . . .
The elevator creaked, intruding on it's thought processes as it opened up like a safety pod and revealed the barricaded marines that fell to lerks, by the look of it they were swarmed in the end. Bason then knew it had to avenge these humans, for it was it's duty and this Kalar could not be permitted access to this vast tower's knowledge of all man kind.
Going down the silent corridor Bason saw the main reception room, and Kalar as he stood upon a statue that was easily 15 feet tall and also was a saluting marine that read: "The many and proud of Iron Rock."
Kalar then chuckled, it boomed throughout the vast room and bounced back, making his already majestic voice awe inspiring, or in this case, terrifying.
Unpuckering his acid arm Kalar then shot off a round of corrosive acid at Bason even as the droid shot off another round of pellets, once again they missed Kalar and were melted by the intense heat of acid.
"Tis a shame that you are a loyal soldier, you know I would of destoryed you anyways if you accepted my demand didn't you o' Bason?" Kalar re-appeared in front of Bason, his arm shooting out acid upon Bason whom back jetted, only it's slug gun took a toll from it as the tube part of it was closed by it's own melted metals.
Although the weapon was useless Bason kept it as it hovered to it's left and shot off a flame as Kalar re-appeared, his face recovered from the last time he was burnt but this flame actually took him in the chest where Bason saw Kalar's eyes held a great deal of pain, he disappeared once more.
"Clever. . . . far to clever for a failure." with that Kalar's voice was thick with rage, he blinked right into the unsuspecting front of Bason and nearly sliced the end of the flame thrower, rendering it useless, but Bason swiftly with it's right hand slammed against Kalar's side, it heard Kalar's roar of anguish as the skin broke, not tore, under the slam, however, Kalar once again disappeared.
Although Kalar re-appeared in front of Bason it saw Kalar's side had nearly sealed up once more, showing his quick recovery time as his smirk once more returned, then Kalar, instead of blinking, ran as swiftly as Bason could hover backwards and neatly slashed Bason's torso, at the cost of Kalar's torso where both of Bason's hands broke.
Bason heard an incredible high pitch scream from Kalar as he spasmed, then disappeared once more, Bason felt the torso with it's groping hands and discovered how fatally close Kalar had cut to it's main center of power.
"I....pain.....you shall....obilerate." Kalar spoke incoherently as the pain ebbed away as it healed unnaturally quickly, Kalar once more appeared in front of Bason and grinned despite the pain even as he brought down the acid arm's mouth level to the generator.
"I see that you have finally bested me fade. . . how do I look?" Bason's last part of speech triggered one last stimulus even as Kalar replied in a malice filled retort.
"You look, pathetic upon the ground, I shall enj----" Bason then shot off it's slug gun off upon Kalar, even though the gun now exploded from the discharge Bason's chest glowed the forge's whitest flame, Bason's generator whined briefly as it discharged 8 months worth of energy for an assault droid in self destruction.
Although Kalar began to blink even as it's chest was blown through he never expected such a thing as his body hurled through the air as a doll's would across the room and slammed violently against the opposite wall, his wounds fatal, his vision began to blur as the room began to be enveloped by the flames. . . .
Kalar then realized it was in the Habon's room once more, several skulks looked down upon him as the Habon's thoughts echoed in his mind, more like, boomed.
"Trouble Kalar? the habon chuckled even as Kalar's vision blackened to unconsciousness, the skulks then dragged his body off to a healing chamber, the Habon didn't wish to distract itself by healing Kalar as it directed it's next wave of Khaara at the tower, to recover all knowledge and a possible escape from the planet. . . .

Post 16 (I think): as the onos finished breaking the door down, Bason was knocked back by a weapon rack towards the back of the room
It sounds like Bason was hit by the weapon rack.
Post 14 (I think): Kalar quietly walked into the mere moments ago guns blazing death corridor
No idea what that means. Sounds like Kalar time travels.

His claws are basically keen enough from his focus upgrade to cut into Bason, also his acid can corrod (I think thats how you spell it) Bason's armor.
Kalar is, quite literally, an elite of his type.
"Here, let me carry you Gorge."
"K. AARGH!"

I think I'm going to write the next part now, since I can stop laughing now.
"Trouble Kalar? the habon chuckled even as Kalar's vision blackened to unconsciousness, the skulks then dragged his body off to a healing chamber, the Habon didn't wish to distract itself by healing Kalar as it directed it's next wave of Khaara at the tower, to recover all knowledge and a possible escape from the planet. . . .
