<div class="IPBDescription">Possibly for a friend</div> A little something I was working on in the time I took from the Wh40k pack.

    Yeah, in fact Nonok is the one working on a map. He's new to the mapping scene, but pretty decent from what he has shown to me.

    wow thats awesome, cept for the dome thing, i think itd look better without but thats just me... itd also lower polies without it

    i think the pc of a map model could be up to 3000 as long as theres only one and not alot around it

    Awesome! This stands at about 1800! I'm all in the clear. And by dome thing, do you mean the turret back by the loading ramp?

    I was also thinking of building an APC, or some other vehicle to sit near it. It's being built for a map where marines start out in the open, so something like an APC or some crates would be appropriate for near the dropship.

    By dome he means the cockpit window me thinks. Plus crates of ammo/weapons/equipment would be appropiate

    I'm no mesher or skinner, so if someone wants to mesh this, i've got someone who <i>might</i> skin it for me.

    Sure, once it's finished ill share it with everyone who wants it. Of course Nonok gets it first.

    add some more details, the plane itself is looking pretty plain, espec towards the cockpit

    That sounds like a much better solution than that little dome ive got now. Ill do the Apache style canopy when I get home, and see how it looks.

    I've also started on a bit more detail in the front of the dropship, did a small intrusion at the front and put up the start of an antenna array. Should be pretty cool when it's finished.

    The PC right now is at 2322, but im getting rid of one of my spheres, so it should drop a bit. I was also told its safe to go up to 5000 polies on map models, so im still clear by almost 3000.

    Looks good, but the polys you wasted in the dome cockpit and landing pads, you could of made the wings more curvier and smoothed them out a little more.

    i agree with RSX, i like the model, very nice. However the dome could be cut back on polys considerably. The wings? i guess you could curvy tehm up a bit, but i kinda like them as is.     I trashed the dome cockpit completely, I did leave the sphere shaped turret back by the ramp though, and tossed on a couple of other small details on the model. The wings im leaving bulky like that, I think it matches the TSA theme nicely, rugged and tough rather than smexy and curvy.

    Anyway, here is a group of screenies for ya'll.

    -Replaced the dome cockpit
    -Added chainguns for more detail
    -Added 2 VTOL jets, just for fun.

    Polycount: 2833, just because im a cylinder ****.

    *edit* I was thinking about toying around with the scale of the chainguns, and maybe giving them some character with a different *idle* position, either pointing slightly upward or slightly downward.
