If that game were an RPG of some sort it would have been completely awesome. It's just really fun and really well done as it is.
The blood effects and first person fist fighting rock though. Throw that on your rent list.
Parts that are awesome: Reversing a weapon on a guard and having him shoot himself - then his body drops away and their's a line of blood splatter up the wall behind him.
Hiding in a dark corner hearing a mini-mech pilot yell out " Come out, come out where ever you are - you ****." It's got awesome voice acting too.
The lighting. Being able to shoot out lights and eventually use the eyeshine are nice...and then the enemies break out the flashlights.
Controlling a mini-battle tank that talks back to you depending on how well you're stepping on people and hitting objects.
Parts that are bad: Needs more RPGness.
Eyeshine was a bit strange, but one of the better vision modes I've seen. Didn't look quite like the movies.
Too short : D .
I think it might be Xbox only too...but whatever - rent it if you can find it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> .

Fable is a awesome RPG game, I'm renting it right now and when I get the money I'll buy it, I've almost been playing it non-stop.
I sugjest you try those two. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> Yea, I beat Fable before: Magic user = about 50 times as fun. I hate those little punks....but they make me so unevil. Plus they're one of the only big respawning enemy groups (get lots of renown from them...I'm recognized and I didn't do the first wasp quest yet). I think some skeletons past Bowerstone North might do it too, those would work good.
It's more fun just doing whatever you want then to actually do the quests. I recommend beating it - and then doing whatever you want so you know what's going on - contrary to how I usually play.
Keep an eye out for Unreal Championship 2 and Jade Empire, as well. They aren't out yet but they look quite good, Championship 2 in particular looks like a really ingenious twist on standard shooter stuff (acrobatics, leaping off walls, melee combat, etc.).

/slaps self until death ensues.
The X-Box Crimson Skys was OK but nothing like the first.
That was hugely customisable. ("On this plane I'll have a .70 cal machine gun with Explosive rounds")
