<div class="IPBDescription">Aiming?</div> When you are trying to parasite someone as a Skulk, is there any sort of compensation for trajectory? I usually try to put the crosshairs right on the marine's chest, but it just doesn't seem to work. After a couple tries they usually spot me then I just unload wildly and then take off. I have gotten it to work occasionally, but not before I saturate the guy with them. Since I can't see the actual parasite fly, I was wondering if I should aim above the marine, or do you actually need a few to get it to stick?
It is a useful tool when I get it to work. I'd just prefer if I could be a little stealthier about it.

I'll sometimes play early-game tagging from just outside the marine start. When a marine runs out of their main, I'll tag 'em so one of my comrades can track him if/when he gets too close.
Every time I tag a marine, I'll just center him on my crosshairs and fire. Even if he runs out of my view as soon as I shoot, he still gets tagged.
If you can't tag him with the first try, just leave him alone. A marine is less likely to notice one 'splat' sound than they would 5 or 6, and in an intense game, they're not as likely to notice the "parasite detected" message on their screen. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Exactly what I meant by being stealthier. I definitely lost the element of surprise on the few successful tags I've gotten. But, being a newbie, I really want to try all the abilities out and learn the most constructive uses of each. Even on my first game I managed to get behind the CC using silence and cloaking as a Skulk. None of the marines had a clue and I just sit there cloaked trying to figure out what to do next since chomping on the CC at the wrong time would've given my hiding place away. My next step is to master Xenocide timing to use it effectively.

Noone likes an **obscenity**
There is a 'tack' noise when you hit. And you do have to back around the corner first.
I like parasiting buildings for newbies, just so they know where the base is.
Thanks again everyone!
mmmmmmmmmkay, tack means Thank You in Swedish.
So every time your hit it will say Thank You <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
hahahhaahahhaha
Wait on the ceiling for a marine to walk by, parasite him, and then watch as your team ambushes the poor **obscenity**.
