I felt disconnected from my character, perhaps because of the limited options and content available. WoW's world (to be redundant) was just much more immersive. I never felt the need to zoom in on my GW character -- I kept the camera nice and far back so I could see incoming threats. With WoW, I was constantly playing with the camera to best see the world *and* my character. There was just a lot more to pull me in.

Yeah, Fileplanet's never getting a penny of mine. I think it's quite idiotic of Blizzard to open this stress test to subscribers only; I'm sure Fileplanet roped them into it, and it makes me sick to see FP with such a stranglehold over these kinds of things.
Anyway, I'm waiting till next week when I can get in without any help from Fileplanet. Stupid Blizzard; I'm really disappointed in them.
This just in: Blizzard are capitalistic morons just like every other game developer out there. Apparently the second stress test is a fancy technical term for "Open beta only for people who pay $60 yearly to fileplanet".

That and my NS clan/guild/corp in disciuse could use some new members to replace those that left (most of the old NuT clan). Look us up Orbital Mining Group (O-M-G).
But ill try WoW when it hits the public but if its stilll US only ill get a little anoyed.

And their right. $60 ain't ANYTHING. Hell, with minimum wage, you make that in about 9 hours of work. Think about it: 9 hours for a year of service. Sure, if you're young and live alone you probably can't afford it, but YOU SHOULDN'T BE PLAYING GAMES THEN, EITHER! THEIR EXPENSIVE!
Note: I do have a subscription, because frankly, their 10x as reliable as EVERY torrent I've ever tried to use, and because I agree with most of their reviews(yeah, I got a founders. $80 for a year. Took me 4 weeks to save up for.). Gamespy, despite what some of the idiots around here think, is a good company- and ANY company, PERIOD, takes money to run. Hence why their in the same rather crummy places they've been in since Gamespy started, back when it was just Quakeplanet.
Why do people always throw Warcraft III aside like it was trash. I mean, it was a damn fun game; <b>if</b> you didn't go into it expecting it to be Warcraft II but 3d, just like when Starcraft came out people went into it thinking Warcraft in space.
Sure teh_own3r3r had some choice words for it, but in reality, it was a well made and fun to play game.

I loved and still love War 3. What exactly was so bad about it? Sure, Starcraft remains the defining RTS of all time, but that doesn't stop me enjoying other RTS's like Dawn of War, Age of Empires and C&C: Generals. All fine games in my opinion.

Non-subscribers is 95% of a populated area. Subscribers [are] the rest.
However, there are enough subscribers to fill a good portion of the "open" beta slots, thus SCREWING THE MAJORITY of a "open" beta. As well, it isn't even a "open" beta yet, it's just another closed beta download session; closed to the public and open only to FilePlanet subscribers.
