What frustrates me with all these sexy shots is how awful they would PLAY. They all look at least 10 times better than my map, but they would still play bad. Like Naigels, dead sexy pit of doom room, but imagine getting into that vent as anything but a 2-hive skulk, or in general across that pit. Or Sinters, all those beams(both on the sides and close to the ceiling) are just <i>screaming</i> "HEY! GET STUCK ON ME WHILE RUNNING!! I LOOK GREAT BUT IM GOING TO GET YOU KILLED!".
Mendasps "first encounter with ns2.wad" doesn't look as good as his other maps, but I'm damn sure it would play well with some minor alterations. Maps don't <i>have</i> to be really really complex and sexy and stunning, what that gets you is high ratings and a temporary ego-boost(though there's nothing bad with that), then people just stop playing it due to frustration, leading to anger, leading to hate, leading to <s>the dark side</s> noone wanting to play it...
Looking at veil or eclipse(ns_walllab?), you find few complexities, but they're still the de_dust and de_dust2 of NS.

Why dont you put the parts of this dead maps together, because the most are drak styled. when the autors give there permissions i think this would be a good thing to do.

Plague I assumed that only the first 3 screenshots were yours for some reason. I like the first MS but in the second MS the blue texlights don't really go with your heavy architecture style.
In general the corridors are a bit bland. As you've used only really one or two brushes for the walls you can't get enough texture variety in to breathe more life into them.

i think he made that dusty out door map, and pwned the ns2.wad textures to death
