I hate to be the naysayer, and I like the idea of passive regen, but I don't think this will really do anything. When it takes over a minute to fully heal a reasonable injury, you're better off going to the hive. I know this isn't the biggest DMS change in B6, and it's definitely an improvement, but I can't imagine this particular one having a significant impact.
To be fair though, it's not quite as low as it sounds; that's 2% per second, which is something closer to 6% for the current regen tick length.
You could say gradual XP seemed like a good idea at the time :x

MCs first have always been better than DCs first (imho). Whenever i push for MC first i promise to permagorge and be a walking DC for everyone. Get adren and it works very well. It only really happens on the lunixmonster when all the regulars are on. Everyone else is so locked into the DMS mentality that they hate on me. LoL.. I joined the team just before the B5 release.. I didn't have the time..
innate regen makes no sound. The really has been no balance testing so brace yourselves. It would help if the devs played ns. I don't really disagree with all the changes but I know they have no idea what the gameplay ones are going to do :\ Fortunately clan play at any sort of high level has really died down and ti shouldn't really affect pubs.

A word regarding innate regen. Yes, it is not as good as the upgrade. Big surprise. The idea is not to give the aliens a way to heal completely in the field, it's to give them a small edge in drawn-out combats, to allow them to weather small injuries (say, a stray LMG bullet from an ambushed rambo) without of having to lose their post, and to reduce the time it takes to heal by making the time to and from the hive 'effective', as well. As Zun mentioned, it is <i>not</i> the only leverage against DMS on our list.
Generally, I daresay that there is no concern voiced in this thread so far that is not touched by one of our other changes.

I'm impressed guys... it's the little things that shows you how much the devs are paying attention. REAL attention to detail here, different sounds for different aliens landing is cool not only so you know without looking but just for atmosphere... not an incredibly difficult or time-consuming addition (I guess) but quality that you took the time to do it.
I'm liking all of what I'm seeing out of these little previews... siege, no knife kb, innate (just some highlights I remember) gonna keep my eye on this new dev team. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
