Happy New Year, ns.org!

What'd you guys do?     I spent my new years eve playing Halo 2 on Xbox live...I'm sure there would have been drinking in there, if I'd bothered to go upstairs. I find the arbitrary decision to make 'the new year' start on January 1st somewhat pointless to celebrate - aside from the "it's a new year, undetermined by physical means!" We're all lucky the Christians back in the day didn't decide to make it March 30th (or whatever date that was going to be...think it was the Roman January 1st, Easter or March 30th - I don't feel like breaking out my History notebook). I say it should be December 21st (since it's the shortest day in the year, so, you might as well have the days grow longer as the year goes, and then shorter again...or something), anyway, what do I know <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> .
