ns_richmond.
I've done a bit of updating including a tenative vent system as requested in teh CAL forums.

I have also gone to using bounce 2, to prevent the desire to boost one's gamma into the stratosphere and to fix the obnoxious skulk lighting bug.

I have done a bit of retexturing as well as some general making of the awesome in certain hive rooms.

that said, enjoy the following screen shots as well as the map itself.

    Mostly, because I haven't gotten off my lazy butt and made an infested texture for the ones on the floor as yet. There was some stupidity as well. But, mostly it was lazyness.

    Some of the textures look bland and flat, even somewhat cartoonish. But nice work over all.

    Flattastic, add some detail to those catwalks... railings perhaps, maybe lips on the edges.

    Wow iv been following this map for a while dude and played it on lunixmonster a while ago. Great work with remix wad, always nice to see new textures and very nice architecture.     The one suggestion that I would make is to take the "Emergency Declared" texture and add an overlay or something to make it look more monitor like. Right now it looks like a poster...unless that was what you were going for, then rock on.

    it has been brought to my anttention that 1) i suck at life and 2) that i hafe a wad which is not included in the above download. I have no idea how it even got into the .rmf file. for those of you who need it : <a href='http://www.confusionville.net/maps/b1i/64units.wad' target='_blank'>64 units.wad</a>

    im currently getting a new version on the web which has the problem fixed. my appologies to those who have expereinced this problem.

    edit: well teh recompile worked fine untill the power went out mid way through adn destroyed the csg stuff. so now i have to redo teh whole thing . yay. give it around an hour

    Now this is what im talking about.It has its own feel, it doesnt look like many of the other maps, and yet still fits the ns theme.I love it.

    is sweet, the way it draws your eye down the corridor but doesnt let you see whats round the corner, nice work

    I would however like to see a bit more steam, dirt grime colour and infestation, all to make it feel a bit more lived and loved by both species alike

    Ive benn running _b1e for a few....Great Map, Nice verry Nice work. Just a few suggestions/changes to your download for Us admins who put things on Servers <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Rename your updated .txt to _b1i
    Include the .wad
    And the .res should only need this//
    64units.wad
    sprites/minimaps/ns_richmond_b1i.spr
    maps/ns_richmond_b1i.txt

    Did I mention that Your Map is One of the Sweetest Map Played to date....and i play them all.

    lovely style, had to tune down my standart gamma value I use in ns though since it looked way to bright <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    One thing though about the yellow lights in a circle, there are two small things which seem odd.

    1.The texture used as light is off
    2. The light casted onto the ceiling above the lights looks out of place.

    Other then them 2 small thing I don't see anything wrong with the map and it's a nice refreshing style...

    +Certain rooms have been given an architectural tweek.
    +lighting has been dimmed over all and the gamma ramp has been reduced to 1.7
    +Textures played with a bit. Some day i will actually re work them but until but eh.
    + vents added and tweaked.

    @woody you shouldn't need 64units.wad in this version, it was only in there because of hlfix in the forst place. That and I figured that no one really wanted the text file, as all it has is a change log in the most minimal sense. so i just included the minimap.

    That said i desperately need feedback on how the map plays, in any setting. So i willbe sending out mass spam to various people in hopes of getting feedback on the map in the next few minutes/hours/days.

    Well we played Hide and seek in LM on it once, and it works surpizingly well for a hide and seek map...     This is the best custom maps released lately.

    The color scheme rocks. Lots 0 comments about how fun the gameplay is. I havent heard any negative feedback from our server.

    that said, i'm starting on a texture remake for teh grey textuers this week we shall see how it goes.

    took a first walk on ns_richmond.

    something is weird about this map. maybe its just my outdate grafics driver... but 1. the readyroom is completely fullbright on my machine. nearly every wall is pure white. 2. I got white texture "blips" in some ares. am I the only one?

    - the marinestart seems to be a joke. no space for marines to defend <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    - exspecially area round th ms looks very rough
    - there are some brush errors
    - maybe its just me again but the map seems too bright to me, except the hives which are perfectly lit
    - I had problems to make out which of the windows are destroyable and which not. maybe you could "mark" an destroyable window by applying some decals, make it half-broken etc.
    - no environment sounds
    - entity count (<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->) > many func_illusionaries

    positiv:
    - fullsize ns map (YES, thats something special between this "look, I made co_boxmap_no.12361!!!)
    - I like the hives, nice architecture
    - nice ideas with many areas, architecture looks quite unusual in some areas
    - I like the clean scifi environment style changing to something industrial like when you make your way from ms to the hives (dont know if this was intension)
    - the layout seems to have potential
