^That's when I made a forum account. I read the forums long before that though, but I have no idea of how long. I remember the hubbub about the mappers tech release, and I remember thoroughly enjoying Tales from the Frontlines.
I also remember hearing that in one of the RCs, res nodes would be unusable if a RT was built on it and then destroyed. At the time I thought res nodes were large crystals(black/purple, kinda transparent), so this made perfect sense to me :P
Then I learned that Gwahirs avatar was the actual resource node, and tried to get used to the thought.

Then NS was released. Man, just the sounds of using the menu and evolving something were cool.
And I remember TF-less turrets ><
Funny. People arguing about something that is now totally obvious, saying it would be unbalanced.

Gpmxx.. I think you have to ask one of the moderators to do it. I was going to Pm Nemo to change my name to just Lanfear, but someone else already made the name before the move to the new server... I dont think they have posted yet though.

I've been playing since 1.0... While all my friends were out Halloween eve 2002, I was enjoying one of the finest multiplayer experiences ever.

While I did not get around to registering for the forums for some time, I do pride myself on being one of the first Constellation members (I donated on July 13th, 2003, before version 2.0, and before any mention of Constellation icons :-P). I can still remember when I met Flayra (& Max) at the 2.0 release party, and he pointed to me and said "You should all be thanking donators like him, or version 2.0 would never have happened." (or something to that effect)

[edit: I can still remember playing with you, Khaim, in a bunch of those 1.0 - 1.04 games. Those were the days]

I started playing it almost a week after 1.0 was released. Can't remember anymore what version was out when I decided to join the forums, though. I check here about once every day and never post. Yep that's me, just another shadow.

Ive been around since the very beginning.. even before my actual join date.. since (if i remember correctly) the forum crashed before cristmas till around the beginning of 2002.. everyone had to re-register.. so even before that <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' />

Seriously, he is WAY too old. He's been here even before it got released and knows all about them forum crashes. And the days when Flayra posting on boards wasn't regarded as a blessing from god either, unlike these days....
