<div class="IPBDescription">Seriously</div> Doesn't anybody watch announcements anymore? Check the front page:
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->It's finally ready. NS 3.0 (final) will be released to the public on Saturday, March 5th. If you would like to mirror any files after we release, submit your mirrored file here.
Thus, we conclude a long and colorful product cycle with a as we believe very worthy batch of features and updates. For details, read the changelog since NS 3.0 Beta 5.
The development of 3.0 saw a number of personnel changes on the extended team. We'd like to take the opporunity to thank Max "maxwell" McGuire, Spencer "voogru" MacDonald, Tom "ElvenThief" Grim, as well as the trainees, contributors, testers, and other volunteers we worked with during this version's development, including those who had to move on.
We, specifically myself, would also like to thank Greb "Wither" in den Berken and Jim "JazzX" Olson for taking over on managing the Playtester program, as well as Nicolas "Marik_Steele" Winocur for taking the community management position, thus allowing me to concentrate on my role as project manager on the NS team.
Special thanks go to NiteOwl, whom we have to thank for our outstanding new manual (to be released shortly).
NS 3.0 is in many ways an end to an era and marks a reorientation of big parts of our development procedure. As a first marker of this, I'd like to welcome Petter "tankefugl" Roennigen on the team. Petter, an outstanding programmer, and first of a number of trainees to become a full developer, will help us in creating the future of Natural Selection.
It's been a crazy ride so far and we're just getting started. We're glad to have you with us.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
That's just as good as a Beta 6 release I guess. Now let's hear some 3.1 info <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Regardless, I'm happy for it. Finally I can stop talking about how cool it is to clanmates <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
(Yes I saw the announcment before the post)

- Gestation model works (without crashing the entire server *cough*)

And on a smaller note, congradulations to the NS Dev team for getting NS 3.0 done, best wishes in the future.
Now, who thinks any future patches to 3.0 should have pi appended to the end, so there could be a 3.14156 patch (stolen from a IRC channel, not sure which one)
I wasn't aware there were any clans actually involved in testing.
i'll just go and cry now..
*waits glued to the screen*
Congradulations, devs <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

There is nothing wrong with the hitboxes.
dun expect anything now
cooled
Have the 3rd person reload animations been finished ( last I heard only LMG and another gun worked ) ?
Looking forward to tomorrow!
It's nice that we have a date, though I'd rather we had a public playtest first instead of relying on the smaller numbers and legitimate tactics of Constellation players. I sense a repeat of 2.01 and all the horrible bugs (stucking through walls, broken bilebomb, structure dropping to name a few) that never got fixed until 3.0's betas, and NS:S+NS2 are going to be alot farther away than 3.0 was.
congratz @ the NS dev team for this release and especially congratz to Tanke <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

After 3.1, the hope of many, and the hinting of some of the devs, is that NS:source is the next hurdle to tackle for a small part of the team (probably more of the volunteers) while the big boys hopefully start work on a full-featured UWE game. Support for old versions will continue, surely, until everyone is satisfied that they are stable.
