Heh, Hodge. I went to the Wailing Caverns with a group before. We had a level 40 with us, so it was kind of a piece of cake, but it still managed to be fun. Funny how WoW does that.

Or rather, on estimate how many 'tourist' spots are there (areas with unique architecture/statues/whatever)? <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> To be honest, they absolutely filled the game with these spots, then made it a lot of fun to play on.
For example: The Tauren starting area is BEAUTIFUL. It looks like the ideal place to live- well, except ya gotta imagine it without the big hulking cows going around.
Or Darnassus(Night Elf City)- nice, light, the City built on top of/around a lake, with bridges going all over from the lake's little islands. Then, a huge structure housing a Statue of a Night Elf Goddess.
Or for later in the Game, Scarlet Monastery's "Inner Grounds"- fountains covering the middle of a nicely groomed yard, everything looking nice and pretty, other than the bloodthirsty guards and the bleak sky.
Or also, Uldaman. From Scorpid Pit(full of scorpions- about 20 at a time, if not more), to it's HUGE denizens, its a fantastically built instance.
Even the ealier instances, such as Van Cleef(where you open huge bronze doors to find a Pirate's underground alcove, complete with a huge pirate ship!), or Gnomeregan(where the Gnomes were poisoned by their own race to get rid of their now-leader, Thermaplugg. From it's lavish gear-rooms to it's surprising little town in the middle of it, its a wonderfully fun instance).
Just about anywhere is picturesque, or interesting. My favorite zone thus far is a mix of the two- Feralas, as pictured earlier. A creepy green mist surrounding trees taller than any in the game, with huge vines coming all the way to the ground from them, a feeling of dread always is around in that instance- as if the vines are gonna come alive and get you. Creepy indeed.
Ah, this game is a good one. In fact, the only "Sucky" place I'd say, is the look to Badlands- its dead mountains. No scenery. A few cactuses...that are dying. But its unmistakably bright- there's no theme there at all, its like they just threw it together in a hurry, sadly.
the place i mentioned before... but this time as a picture <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
It''s a shame I leveled so slowly and got frustrated, thus deciding to cancel my account.
Oh well....
How long does it take to get a level 45- ish or so, with a decent character? I took a druid, and druids *suck.* They're supposed to be a jack-of-all-trades, but they pretty much just blow at everything. They're the class you want to have in your party if you can't fill one of the rolls, but they can't solo worth a damn. I got frustrated when I got to level 23, everyone was saying that the game was opening up, but then I had to hike across the damn barrens TIME AFTER TIME!!!
Know what I love about WoW? One of the most boring areas in WoW is actually gorgeous and interesting. The Barrens...it's just desert, but there's mountains all over, and you get around to some really cool oasis' and stuff. Blizzard managed to make it interesting...and thankfully, considering Horde spends at least ten levels there.

No thanks, I'd like to play a game without having to leave a brick on my 'w' key.
The Barrens is incredibly large and when you have to go from one end to the other it is frustrating but theres sooo much to do there and bordering on Ashenvale you always get raided by those bloody sneaky Night Elves.
Putting it in another light I arrived in the Barrens at about level 9/10 and I'm still there now at level 23 and haven't got bored of the place or finished half the quests.

PS - Hiding behind level 40 guards and firing arrows at people who would normally tear you a new one ftw
Scum.
