(For those who don't understand, months ago when the first US trailer came out, Mart said it was going to suck ((with love from #evo)). And was promptly told by everyone else that he was wrong... He wasn't.)
(((Nemesis is wrong. Just ignore him.)))
Yeah...
I mean, Mart is correct a lot, but sometimes he should be wrong.

Damnit Mart, I still say Mos Def was good in Something the Lord Made and I stand by that <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I liked the third trailer (just like everyone else), and that's about it in terms of the thoughts I had on the film so far. If it's good, great, if it isn't, I won't be surprised. There is some indication of this being a joke, though. On Simpson's personal site, we find the following entry:
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--><b>The Movie</b>
I have recently completed production notes for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie. I was granted the <a href='http://www.planetmagrathea.com/nickgarth1a.html' target='_blank'>only pre-production interview with the director and producer</a> and was one of only a handful of journalists allowed to <a href='http://www.planetmagrathea.com/moviesetvisit.html' target='_blank'>visit the set</a>.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
He's obviously got contact with the filmcrew, and seeing the kind of personality one needs to enjoy Douglas Adams, a faked review isn't impossible.
Ah well, soon enough, we'll see it ourselves.

Was there a time when they weren't?

If anything, his connection to the film crew should make him 'talk up' the film, not flame it to the ground. And I doubt he'd write a fake review that's so damaging to potential viewers, I for one now have no intention of going to see it.
Yes, Alan Rickman is the voice actour for the robot. Nifty, eh?
There's five parts.
IT JUST CAN'T BE TRUE.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
DON'T DO THIS TO ME!!
First rule of publicity: Any PR is good PR. Would norn have thought it necessary to post the link here if it was positive? Bad reviews can sometimes actually increase a movie's audience because people get curious. Curios people talk to their friends, who in turn talk to <i>their</i> friends, and the actual review message is likely to be lost somewhere in the process.
Though, again, this was merely an isolated hint. I'm not trying to create theories here.
If I missed that I apologise for nothing! I don't do speed-reading.
<!--QuoteBegin-Aldaris+--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> (Aldaris)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Looking around the site, you'll easily notice hes the world's biggest HHGTG fan. Therefore, I'm ignoring this review as its completely biased. I doubt he would of ever liked the film no matter how it turned out.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I don't think it's that easy. He states that he liked the radio plays and the game both in the review and elsewhere on the site.

Ven, according to the review, Adams only made the initial drafts, before meeting his unfortunate end.
no...
The Salmon of Doubt is the "official" auto-biography...
in that he describes a lot of himself thru the year...
*shrug*
HHGTTG FTW!!!
I'm not surprised but I wish I was.
either the movie really sucks or mart was wrong, both of which will result in the immediate implosion of the known universe. ka-splat.
i assume it will be bad beacuse you cant fit five books worth of wonderful dialogue into a hollywood movie, and because the original author had so little to do with the film. but i dont KNO it will be bad, and this reviewer seems to dislike it based on differences from the books...
hell the books were inconsistent with the books...

there is a different between them being slightly different and hacking dialouge to be less funny, or removing and editing beyond recognition very important scenes.
