I get almost all my news from NPR and TDS, but I mentioned PBS because it does have some very, very good programming. Frontline and Nova alone make the network worth mentioning.
By the way - if you have a crappy NPR station or none at all, I recommend listening to <a href='http://128.255.60.46:8080/ramgen/encoder/wsuilive.rm' target='_blank'>mine</a>. You'll need Real Alternative to listen to the stream (or RealPlayer if you're an idiot). I live in eastern Iowa, and from my experiences traveling around the country I've come to believe that we probably have one of the best NPR stations in the US.
