Hospital is better, since they will go there only to get first aid kits (meaningly, they're hurt).
And if they kill you? Well, currently the worst thing is that you lose your xp. And get dragged out. You'll spend 2 AP to stand up and go back in, and you're back in business.

I'm hoping that eventually the devs of UD are going to put in something to prevent this inevitability. Maybe a new human skill to fully board up doors? A new necrotech item that takes away a one of a zombie's skills at random? A change to gameplay where if zombies die they lose a skill?

my consumer seems to have just as much luck finding shotguns as he does have finding shotgun shells.
Now I will hold on to all of my weapons, load them ALL up, step out in a blaze of glory.

If the materials are limited, safehousing inside a barricaded building wouldn't be so bad. You're right in that they shouldn't be absolute guarrentees, though, and should come at some sort of cost; they should take AP to tear down from either side. (3AP per barricade?)

well, neo is going to revive my necrotech guy, he's got enough for 1 level up and not far off for another level, I didn't want to waste the xp on zombie traits since I really wanted him back to normal, but I didn't want to waste the opportunity to get a little exp either.
My first upgrade will be improved med kit usage, followed by the necrotech lab equipment.

Problem with the shotgun is to find ammo, cause you loot 1 shell at a time, instead of a 6 bullets-clip. That cost many more AP's. When you loot a shell its potential damage output is 10, when you loot a clip it's 30. BUT the search is random anyway, and you will end with both ammo types. SO the best solution is: use both.
As many of each type of weapon as you can, actually;
I have 3 pistols and a shotgun, and have both skills to 55%. So when all my guns are loaded (so i don't have to reload in combat) i can approximately deal 55 damage in 19 AP's.
3 pistols: 18 shots * 5 damage = 90 damage. 55% of 90 ~= 49.5 damage approx. and add the shotgun: 1 shot * 10 damage = 10. 55% of 10 ~= 5.5 damage approx.

I don't like the fact that talking costs AP. If you think of AP as time, I can understand, but can't my dude search and talk at the same time or something? I guess it's to save the guy's bandwith or some such.

I don't like the fact that talking costs AP. If you think of AP as time, I can understand, but can't my dude search and talk at the same time or something? I guess it's to save the guy's bandwith or some such.
Edit: Darvall heights looks like a good suburb-3 PDs, 3 Hospitals, 3 Libraries, multiple junkyards/warehouses, 2 Fire Stations, and a mall. CoNFIRM/DENY LOLS
