Why were you scared? It's not like she said "IM GOING TO RIP YOUR THROAT WHEN YOU SLEEP" or anything. She was just there. That's like being scared of the moon because it looks like a creepy face.

Well when I clicked that picture link I quite honestly said "WHAT THE ****" very loudly and my mother told me off.
I would love to believe this but I'm not sure I can. Its one of those things you have to see for yourself, I suppose. If its faked then you've done a good job lol. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Don't know what to think, half cynical/believing on that photo. Weirdest thing is that shadow however; whether I've never really noticed it or not,but I've never seen a ghost with a clear cut shadow in any photo. May just not have noticed tbh though. Whether real or not,it's a good photo edit/photo shot of a ghost(?)

<a href='http://www7.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0508/index.html' target='_blank'>National Geographic Magazine</a> I can't see anywhere that mentions sending articles or whatever, but I didn't look hard.
Or <a href='http://www.nationalgeographic.com/community/email.html' target='_blank'>this</a> page, which has a bunch of contact information on it, though I'm not sure which parts of it will be most useful.
Or <a href='http://magma.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/swimsuits/?fs=www7.nationalgeographic.com' target='_blank'>this page</a> where you can buy a swimsuit edition of the magazine.

I'm not seeing any motion trails... The thing by her head looks like it could be a motion trail, I guess, but she was standing still. And I doubt that someone shrinks down like that when they walk, anyway.
I can't really find any fault with this, but the phrase "hydration pack" is just dumb. That'd be like calling a bag with some videos in an "amusement pack".

posting this on the internet just makes it sound faker. might be true but i wont know. if it's true, just know there must be a logical explanation for it. just that we dont know it yet <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
well I don't really want to doubt you and what I'm about to say probably sounds weird but... it just doesn't seem interesting enough to be true ^^;
A ghost lady went to walk her dogs. Even if it happened to me in RL I doubt I'd be all that freaked out based on your description, but I've always been kinda strangely calm around 'odd' things like that anyways :3
<b>edit:</b> oh and just for the heck of it...
Some 'ghost hunters' theorise that it's possible for areas with high energy levels (usually of the electromagnetic variation; places near power pylons are common places to find ghostly activity) can somehow burn moments of what happened there into themselves.
Every now and then they'll play back like a tape causing these odd faded visions of things that happened many years ago.
I'm not sure that the theory has ever been proved but it sounds pretty feasible to me.

As a longtime netizen, I'm afraid I too have to call BS on this one. I've seen tons of these ghoststories roam the boards, and they allways turn out to be made up or manufactured. The picture does look alot like a double exposed/long exposed one, allthough I seriously don't have the knowledge to judge them as such.
In fact, the first thing I thought while reading the post was "This better not be another SA prank...".
Only thing that doesn't make sense to me is if you took this picture at night in a field, I'm assuming this is probably not the most well lit field...I am probably wrong.
If I am correct, why would there be a shadow at night in a dark field?
I also want to see a picture of that same location at a different time just as backup evidence.
I believe in Ghosts, and your account and picture sounds/looks like one right there - The first ghost (If it's not a hoax) I've ever seen show itself :O
I can't even look at the picture you took because it creeps me out so much to actually see <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If this <i>is</i> real, then I'd take someone's advice up there^^^ and send the pic and info to...someone...like National Geographic or somethin'.
Would be intresting to find out more back ground

Not really.
I understand why people do and don't believe in ghosts.
I just don't understand why people have to act like asshats and call people idiots for believing in something they don't.
