<div class="IPBDescription">progress?</div>Season 2 of ANSL and season 6 in ENSL are both switching from 3.1 to the most current version of 3.2.
As it stands, the most current version of 3.2 will still be the beta, and a sparse few 3.2 pub servers remain - hardly any populated anymore.
Releasing a final version will encourage all servers to update; It would be nice (read: essential) to have some synchronization between the pub servers and the fledgling competitive scene.
Can we expect a final version of 3.2 to be released soon?
C'mon, tuck ZOS away for a moment and nurture your baby

and currently favors Marines in the 3.2 beta1.
Wonder what their gonna do to strike a balance for 3.2 beta2.
There will be a 3.2 beta2 release soon, and this should be the final beta. I wouldn't expect to see 3.2 go to full public release until mid January at the earliest. If you find 3.2 unsuitable for your league, you should consider using 3.1 for now.
Personally, I find this beta ready to go full public, the only problem i find so far is nothing lol

spectator bug? and theres still the question what should happen to the fade blink
One marines get lvl 3 weapons, aliens better buckle up or its game over <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fade.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::fade::" border="0" alt="fade.gif" />
and oh yeah no more phase telefrags <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
I find 3.2 beta1 balanced. I hope for a 3.2 final release in january <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

yeah <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> and when you play ns_lucid, it's even more balanced <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> im serious! no sarcazm.
My main complaint is that the marines now have a way of making a comeback after the second (or even third) hive goes up, but aliens with one hive can't make a comeback against upgraded marines (usually).

I suggest to read <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=99191" target="_blank">this.</a>
The 6v6 clan/pug games I've played seem very balanced to me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" />
It's just that when the only public servers that people seem to play on are 20+ slots with FF off things are obviously gonna seem skewed to marine.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
With FF On though that seems to lend a large hand to the Aliens.
Especially when things get hectic in a crowd at melee range.
I really don't think 3.2b1 is marine biased at all, it's just that when the only public servers that people seem to play on are 20+ slots with FF off things are obviously gonna seem skewed to marine.

...disagree. lol <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fade.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::fade::" border="0" alt="fade.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pudgy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::gorge::" border="0" alt="pudgy.gif" /> = dead
So when a Fade gets over aggressive and dies on a 30 man server where the res is painfully slow, it is sort of game over, but on smaller games refading is not really a problem.
Some sort of tweak is needed to the res system to account for these bigass servers!
Not really.
It's just a matter of slapping the other teammates around a bit to stop them from hoarding the res. If there's 15 guys in the team, and there's 5 guys willing to drop a chamber or two, that's already 5 to 10 chambers. That equals to 3 starting chambers of your choice to get maximum benefits, a couple of RTs and enough OCs to stop a random marine from ninja-building a PG at the Hive.
After that you only need <b>two</b> guys to save resources to get 2nd and 3rd Hive. That STILL leaves you with <u>8</u> people that are free to chomp their RTs, fight the Marines and save resources for higher lifeforms. Not to mention the 5 guys that have now done their initial job and can return to fighting aswell.
And when the Hives get up, the people that saved for higher lifeforms earlier now probably have enough resources from RFK to go back to Gorge and drop the rest of the chambers and some OCs to defend the Hives, while the people that initially dropped the chambers now have enough resources to evolve to higher lifeforms.
Of course this is the ideal situation and it hardly ever happens in public games, but that's hardly the games fault. Blame the players for not acting as a team.
And time is the killer!
You are still dividing the same number of res nodes by a larger number of players, so you are going to get everything as normal, but later and with more OCs!
And time is the killer!

Then,
Make it so that the resources are split only 3~4 ways, regardless of how many aliens are on.

I've seen 3 marines mowed down 8 skulks. I've seen a marine, despite aliens' great teamwork, ninja'ed the hive. I've seen the marines torn down all the res tower those gorges under a minute.
Unless the marines are total idiots, 8 skulks won't stop them, the couple of RT WILL be destroyed, a random marine will ninja-build a PG, a fade will be killed by a lucky shot, no matter how good the teamwork is.

General game balance and individual skill is a whole new subject.
My comment was about the supposedly broken resource system for bigger games, which is not broken at all as far as I can see.
But a tweaked resource system could go someway to addressing this.

Yes, it is. Those stuffs will happen, and the resource system and generally weakened aliens screws the game for aliens. When you're saying it's an ideal case, it's one helluva understatement.
Then,
Make it so that the resources are split only 3~4 ways, regardless of how many aliens are on.

O_o
Did you really just suggest that only some players on the team should benefit from the resource towers? Yeah, that'd be great fun for the rest of the team.
