<div class="IPBDescription">besides school and the likes</div>I"m just curious. What do you do for a living ?
I used to work 10 years for CGI doing application support on mainframe and a bit on UNIX (left due to budget cuts). Now I am transfering from a 6 months contract of Tivoli software distribution at IBM to mainframe operator contract (still at IBM). Doing contracts at IBM is a strategic move to get back at a decent working/salary level (gota get hired and promoted first) and being part of a big company.

I'm considering what to do with my life... one thing that interests me is working at Qantas for a while on ground crew, then using those skills to apply for a stint doing similar work in an Antarctica base. But most likely I'll just move from job to job, desperately trying to pay all my bills on time, for the next 20 years.
Professional loser.

Kinda with you on that.
ATM I do office work for a College. It is a city college, so woot for decent wages/perks and what not.
Admitedly I have no real idea what I want to do with my life. Probably go back to college and compleate a CS major...
Not sure what I will do after that.
And on a random note, How to know you are reading to much Cyberpunk:
Reading ICE's name and trying to think of a browser that makes your eyes/ears/nose bleed <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

I am also with you. I'm 19 and am currently working construction. I hate it not because of the work but because I work 7 days a week and 10 hours a day, and after that on Tuesdays and Wednesdays I have to go class. I failed last semester at real college, so I'm back home to go to Community College. Hurray!
No seriously, what I wanted to do for the next 3 years (multimedia & communication technology) was all filled up. Thus: the year off.
Im considering working for ChaCha.com, just because it would be easy money.
And we all float on....

Perhaps 'professional bum' would have been more appropriate for me tbh, 19 and never had a job. ever.

qft, being this age and doing nothing but freeloading are the best days of your life <3
Programmer for <a href="http://valvesoftware.com" target="_blank">Valve</a> since the ripe old age of 23. Currently it's exactly where I want to be until I retire and I really thought it'd take me longer to get here. So now I've gotta come up with some new life goals to pursue in my free time, otherwise just coast from here on out.

Your new life goal can be getting episode 2 out the door, that should take you a good few years <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />
Currently doing an internship at a corporate public policy group that kicks ######, (asside from the unpaid part)
Other than that yeah, College.
I am a gamemaster.
Edit: It's a fulltime job in Europe.
I need to find an awsome job (or more acuratly, I need to become qualified for an awsome job, and then get one)
Hey, it pays the bills.... ... .. . <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
