<div class="IPBDescription">Back in black, and kicking! Er... yeah.</div> Back in the day, I started Widow. Then I let it die for a while, while I learn other stuff and started up NS Radio. Now, it lives again! Ohhh yes! It lives. Or something. Anyways, here are three shots a coridor leading from the MS to fluidics control. A few things so you guys won't state them again: Yes, I know the chairs are backwards in fluidics control. They are fixed. The map needs to be a little brighter. Anyways, post your thoughts.

    Those pics are awfully small, but you've proven that you don't need a huge image to show off that your map is gonna rock. Nice work. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Can you upload some bigger pics please? Looking good.

    Yeah. I'll upload bigger pictures in a little while. Maybe later tonight, or early tomorrow morning. Or, theoretically, both. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    In picture 3 where you have lights in the steps the whole texture appears to be giving off light. There is an additive overlay for that texture you could use, so that only the light part will be lit up.

    Looks polished from what I can see, good going.

    Thats what I used, bud. For some reason, though, its still adding to the light brush. Hm... <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo--> hehe.

    Amazing!
    Can't wait to see the infested areas after this clean <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
    Also lightning is good, uhm,maybe put some spots here and there to enfatize details like pipes...but i would judge better if u put some a bit bigger pics with less detail(i mean...fire up photoshop and do "save for web" so also kicking down the kb of the shots,u can have good quality images)

    keep us informed of progress! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Zazi, give yourself a serious beating. That area in the third pic wasn't in the bsp you sent me.

    Aside from that, niceness ... those monitors (pic #2) look better with that texture, though I'd probably scale them down a little further. And please-o-please finish the map this time <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    What a fitting title for an awesome map. The name "Widow" exactly describes the spiderlike feeling and interesting architecture I see in this map. Sweet!!!!!!!! Great lighting too.

    Oh, and i like the contrast from the curved diagonal hallways with the octagonal or hexagonal (i'm to lazy to press "back" and count the sides) of the round room with the computer screens.

    3.) I forgot to mention that credit of a majority of the four way intersection I have displayed here goes to Manah. He is my mentor. Rah! <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Mmm, mmm, mmm. I love those monitors on the second pic, and the indented floor in what looks to be the main hallway. You wouldn't happen to be needing a sky, would ye? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    You're keeping in mind the massive size of the Onos hull, right? Some of those doorways look a little tight, but otherwise its 100% sweetnes.
  • ZaziZazi Join Date: 2002-05-26 Member: 672Members, NS1 Playtester, Contributor
    Yeah. Onos do fit through those doorways. Trust me. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    This looks great <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

    However you should probably try a little harder to align the grate floor texture in pic 4 <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Weird, that intersection looks like something I had in the original ns_veil back in December or January or whenever.

    Now stop using those nos_ textures so ns_kara will be the first to fully use that set!!! :X

    Very n1ce map excelent.

    The best thing with your map is probably the architecture, going in all directions instead of being linear etc. Personnaly id also vary the textures a bit more since it seems you use the same ones in all your pics (especially that gold pipe, change it, make it rusty some times). The textures are very clear and clean, try to make some more rusty places (cant wait to see infested chambers !). Also could you show us your plan of the map ?

    note: if you look well you can see that the 2 first pics on page 1 are the same !
