incredible Job Blue2k with ur colonial marine. I would fix the torso and make it look more like a armor vest. it looks like one giant piece of armor or a tight suit rite now, but its incredible still. good start.

some people did wear the neck protector in the movie, apone for one. i have continuity shots from the set of aliens to prove this. but i dont know if i should add a neck protector becuase it may clip through the back of the player in certain anims, and i hate model clipping, i consider it lazy work on my part.

ANYway I hope they take that mother ----ing model consistency off all server and and make some sorta detector for cheats
well looking at the ns players there is only one mesh (no submodels except the jetpack) so there is no random way of displaying the neck armour ingame, unless you displayed un-jetpacked players with it, and jetpacked players without. but this wouldnt really be random would it. so in short, im afraid not.

itll be released (maybe) when ive finished the skinning. i dont know if this is a general release model or a personal one yet, i tend not to release my models really. i do it only because i like it rather than "meh r wub teh p1mPag3" ive only ever released one player model before, and that was for dod, it was an experimental model with ultra high res skinnage for people with uber machines, called "blue2ks british para pack".
I doubt it, but if Half-Life supports transparency on skins, then you could do Quake III Arena's Sarge trick, you can have him with or without a nice light, without, it's the same model, just the cancerette is invisible.
You could try that for both skins, one of them has the neckbrace as invis or something, but I dunno if HL supports that.
the hl engine currently does not support 24 bit textures, ergo no alpha channel goodness= no transparencies in a hl model. condition zero has apparently upgraded this feature to be workable within the modified hl engine.
