First of all, everyone's maps look Amazing!. The Rocks in some of them are so well done. <a href="http://img266.imageshack.us/i/tunnel2.jpg/" target="_blank"><img src="http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/2408/tunnel2.th.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a> Now first part of my day i spent messing around with some tools, and after many times recreating. I finally found a good looking spooky tunnel design I like. Now it isn't much and I don't have any experience with this map editor other then today. <a href="http://img340.imageshack.us/i/tunnel1.jpg/" target="_blank"><img src="http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/6493/tunnel1.th.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
Also some of you guys have some awesome textures that I can't seem to find.
I really, love the editor there are some errors here and there, but much more easy and much faster then hammer. It feels like sketch up alot and that is a fun tool to use.

Agree. I think old school mapers will and are finding it harder.
I am so use to Hammer i want to use same key bindings and it is so annoying.

Think ill work more on this one and start on the alien side (when joining 'em)
All I did was hollow out the area so far, and used their static mesh for a lower vent. Eventually I'll make it wider at some point, and use some more meshes like someone else did rather than just texturing a hollowed out box.
And it's secrets for the torrenting! Mainly just stuff for school.

Man you don't even know! Been mapping in Hammer for like 3 years and finally felt like I had accomplished something. Even though I was so eager to get this, it just makes me feel like I know nothing. Plus, the whole face thing is a massive pain in the ass, not to mention measuring things is near to impossible! I'm OCD when it comes to things being perfectly aligned and stuff so this thing makes me want to pull my hair out. I think one of the most needed this at the moment is a ineditor Copy/Paste, kinda like how you'd just hold shift and drag. God, you never know what you had till its gone...
Hope you guys don't mind but I've put together a compilation of my favourites so far from this thread here: <a href="http://www.ausns2.com/news/spark-editor-the-first-48-hours" target="_blank">http://www.ausns2.com/news/spark-editor-the-first-48-hours</a>
There's some really amazing stuff being produced already.

Oh what a coincidence that it leads to your page :p But thanks anyway, I guess...although most of those pictures are from people that had access to the editor before the release.
It is some really amazing stuff though, no arguement there.
So I fixed up my fan so theres no empty space behind it. Also added some wires going along the ceiling, and an open hatch with some wires falling down to the ground.

I haven't tried it yet, but from the tutorial videos it looks like we get way easier methods of basic room/hallway building. It's probably simply switching gears from all your favorite binds.
Then again, I've also done some work in stuff like CAD and XSI, so I'm a bit more versatile.
