it is a glitch that allows ppl to go outside map, i dont know it myself though.
Also, just played a game that lagged horrificly. I found an arc stuck in the ceiling+wall in the corner of rt in marine start. After I killed it lag stopped (atleast to be that bad), so I am pretty sure it is reason of the lag. Please fix arcs somehow lagging extremely when inside walls. :S

I cant remember who said it, but apparently a big cause of lag is the pathfinding for automated units controlled by the commanders. In other words MACs, drifters and ARCs. Because that code isn't optmised, when a commander sends them to go somewhere there is the potential for it to cause lag. Times that by the number of units being sent somewhere (and getting stuck) and you have 1 laggy server
