I lamed hacking quite early with level 5 and detection reduction at max. It's kind of silly have nearly 20 nuke and stop viruses and not needing them.
My brother gave me a piece of advice that it's sometimes worth just leaving a praxis point spare for situations such as that. Assuming there's nothing vital you want of course.

I'm not sure if the automatic unlocking device exists without DLC but such situations are perfect for it.

I do appreciate the non-spoiling. The computer that can actually run this remains in a different physical location than mine, so I still haven't had a chance to play it. :(

Seriously, just how ridiculous are you? Honestly, the point of making a Deus Ex thread so people can discuss the game, and then not being able to say anything because tossers who don't even own it are obsessively reading the thread... what the hell do you expect out of this thread, a ######' recipe for poppyseed scones?
I own the ###### out of this game. I straight up own this game to hell. My owning of this game REDEFINES the concept of possession. Literally. Go look "possession" up in the dictionary right now, and all you'll find is "a concept describing lolfighter's relationship to DXHR."

There could be an image of an important character, or a location, or an event occurring. It's altogether too easy to spoil this kind of game, and altogether too damaging to enjoyment of the same.
Although the thread is labeled with a death threat for spoilers I think youtube preview screens don't show too much, the videos shown do not reveal much if anything about the story either. That said, label stuff that might possibly spoil with SPOILERS HERE.

I liked this game, but I didn't love it. Its story is compelling, but there are alot of loose ends left untied, like a TONNE of them. The gameplay seems consistently under designed. Yes, it's a linear shooter, but it gives you other options, however, they are rarely fully fleshed out. The upgrade system feels pretty anemic, it's biggest benefit is pretty much exposing you to more avenues to gain experience (finding secret hidey holes, and hacking more meaningless things). That being said, it is definitely fun, sort of in the same way Hitman is fun for example. I'd have a hard time recommending it, because it really doesn't do anything special or amazingly innovative, however, it's still a step up from all of the cover based shooting FPS games the industry churns out. I'm hoping they make enough money off this game to warrant a sequel, and they put more time and effort into polish for the sequel. I'm underwhelmed by this offering from a AAA title, but I am left wanting more (and not just more of the same, but more content, with more effort and depth invested into it).

You should only have problems if you take the biochip upgrade. If you don't take the "upgrade" and you haven't got the see-through-walls hack which lets you see Mr. Invisible and you still fail, then you don't deserve to get that far in the game.

They dropped the ball with his AI. You can just run around the room in a big circle and he'll repeatedly climb over the wall in the middle, never getting anything done, letting you take a shot whenever he jumps over.
