What's difference between Mature Shade and Shade?

<div class="IPBDescription">halluciation and cloak</div>I've just seen a video of Endar, and i found that there is some hallucination thing(which Schimmel long ago showed in youtube) implemented.
Although there is only fake sound being played, but i love it.

I don't know why i've never seen it while i am playing, but anyway, this is my question.


Is that happens automatically if there is mature shade around?
Or should that be passively used by a commander, just like umbra of crag.


And, what's difference between Mature Shade and just Shade?

    Mature versions have more health/armor AFAIK, they both have the passive Shade distortion effects/sounds. And I'm guessing mature versions have more options, when they are going to be included :)

    ie: Normal whip doesn't have bombard.

    In this build the difference between a mature shade and non mature is the HP.
    If a marines is near a shade he gets some sounds halos from the aliens and a bit of view disturbing.

    In feature builds the mature shade gains the phantasms.
    Check the Desing Docs for the ideas charly had about it.

    What we finally get with the mature shade (and mature crag) I don't know.

    i m not 100% sure,but the shade cloaks struktures and units in the area. And with the mature shade upgrade the units can leave the area and will be cloaked until they attack( or the time runs out).

    Nah. The comander can use cloak on a non mature shade, it cloaks all buildings and units for 50s. A player then can walk around while fully cloaked when he leaves the range of the shade for around 20s or when the shade finished the cloakcycle.

    There's also an in-dev ability called <b>Ink Cloud</b> on the Mature Shade, which darkens the atmosphere around the M.Shade and creates up to 3 randomly placed fake Shades nearby. I've found that it's really cool-looking and serves well as a "lights out on-demand" ability that some members (and myself) have been wanting for Kharaa.

    But as mentioned, only HP difference in the current build for Mature version.

    The shade has so much potential in my opinion. I preferred the muffled sound disorientation (minus voice) from 184 to what we have currently, but a mix of the random alien sounds and muffled audio would be interesting. I'd like to see the passive abilities of the shade developed and expanded, readjusting the chamber to be more defense orientated than it is now. The player cloaking is pretty unbalanced in its current state.
