Hi guys,
Many of my friends would like to buy the game but they say it is too expensive. I really praised the game, but it's always "no".
This is my last chance to convince them to buy the game.
I know it's ridiculous to ask it and I hope you forgive me.
Thank you in advance.
PS: I wait the exos with great impatience :D

and based on the fact they increased the prices when they halted selling the limited edition, chances are they will increase again when full retail rolls around.
But NS2 should never be sold for 50+ bucks. 60 bucks? Nah. People would never buy it. BF3 and MW3 have a mindless singleplayer campaign to justify these high prices.
Wait, you feel that 35 dollars is a bad price?
I mean while you are correct it should not be sold for 60 dollars as its an indy game, i HIGHLY doubt the price will go down.
oh wait...
That being said, $35 for a FPS of this caliber? That's a steal!
Also its dollars...the price is even more ridiculous if you translate it to euros. 26,7€ is like...less than 2 cinema tickets or 2 oktoberfest beers.
Maybe you should remind your friends of that.
That aside, games usually cost less when you preorder them. Expect the final price to be higher. And brand new games shouldn't be sold off at sales immediately after release so I wouldn't expect a sale before a major valve sale after release.
Maybe this christmas
...?
Hah, I paid 7. The wonders of patience :D
Edit: forget that sht
At least your not moaning that its not free, like the last thread I saw.
Link please. I want the entertainment <img src="http://members.home.nl/m.borgman/ns-forum/smileys/youreallwrong.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

I paid 0 :D someone bought it for me when it the game released
^ like he said. $35 is more than worth it, because it's hella fun game lol. And this game isn't even done yet. There's still more to come. I have 198 hrs, my highest is 971, but I played it for about a year and a half. I think it can pass up that hrs.
Definitely got my value thus far out of the game. =]
But yes, I can see why you might think it is a bit expensive at $35... but you may just want to wait for a steam sale post release if $35 is to steep for you.
Coming back in a year or so even if the price goes up is the better choice.

Took a while to find, I think there may be another one but thats first I found going back a few pages.
Exactly this.
I've allready played NS2 for 122 hours. 60% of this playtime is from back in the days when only summit was available.
With a plethora of maps this game will be amazing! x)
1. Benefits more from the early adopters (who would pay at almost any price).
2. Allows "promotion" of the game with special deals and discounts later on.
3. People value commodities at what they (and most others) paid for it. As oddly as it sounds, a price too low for NS2 would turn some people off to it.
All they need to do is have a couple of "Free Weekends" and this game is going to absolutely explode in popularity.
Also $35 is cheap. Just think about it being already discounted from $80 (would still pay this) down to $35 already just for you and early access thrown in!
so if UWE wants to make a buck (indeed they already spent a buck!), they need to sell it like for 50 USD at least (on steam).
