It is on steamwork cause i publish it. I think everybody should feel your philosophy of mapping. If you dont want that people play your map, maybe you should delete the download-link here.

d3 wins atm, and I'm on vacation having some good time.
I have been thinking about the map's status, steamworks and all that. Steamworks makes updates so much easier and I could provide updates little by little without worrying about versions and all that.
But I haven't played ns2 in a while, mostly because of performance which kills the experience for me, so I am a bit confused concerning the direction the game has headed, and where the devs have been focusing their 'balance'.
I made a little update, since im not sure how long b3 takes and i feel it could improve balance <b><u>a bit</u></b> for now:
- cleaned up locations a bit, and added a powernode for each one - there shouldnt be a powernode that powers mutliple rts anymore. - moved a few rts a little bit. (engine, gate => backup) - moved a few powernodes a little bit. (loading, engine) - made cargo hive and rt unsnipeable from balcons. - Improved lights a little in bridge - tried to make the loading snipe position a bit smaller. - added a ladder in loading. - removed door gate into backup

Aliens have still only 2 valide hive positions (cargo and loading). The other 3 are only for cosmetic and no options. That is one of the biggest balance issues on this map.

I'll take a look at that Koruyo, and probably upload to steamworks. I like how you have redistributed rts a bit, I am doing something similar but a bit differently, I would love to know how that works out if you play this version.
I can't seem to find the skybox entity Koruyo, I think that is the culprit to no skybox.
I have worked on turtle a bit lately, don't really know where its going but generally just trying to make things work a bit better. The thing is, like I have said before, I don't really have any idea of the actual ns2 gamestate. So if I could have a little write-up on things it would be nice.
The economy has been changed a lot last patch so the game is pretty much broken right now (e.g. leap at 1 minutes), but aliens rts were buffed again some patches ago, so aliens loosing all their rts shouldn't be a big problem anymore.
Jetpacks are still problematic in large open hive rooms, but I hope it will get fix eventually, I wouldn't close big rooms because of that.
The second hive is not as important as it used to be, so having only one good second hive location is not a huge problem, although it's not optimal.
I wouldn't make big changes based on the actual state of the game, imo you should just focus on making fun, interesting and diverse combat areas, and maybe add a bit of eye candy for marketing reasons.

I moved the skybox entity next to the ready room(wanted to move all entitys that are global there... tho didnt do it in the end :P), i tested other skyboxes - which work... only the turtle one gives some shader error.

map developed much since a1 or b1, dont know what i played last :-) so good job on this, especially lighting is much better!
steam workshop doesnt work for me! game crashes in the menu after a few seconds when i got subscribed to a map. no matter which map... Anyone else experiencing it? some way to fix this?

Hey Arga. I am very busy atm so I don't get much mapping time. I sometimes work a little on it here and there but it is going to take much time to accomplish the plan I have for b3. I can assure you that it is not forgotten though and you all won't be disappointed :)

Wouldn't ns2_turtle be added as another official map? This always deserved to be. Since early 2011. Just with little more visual details, this must be one of the most epic map of ns2.

I think I did the necessary yet the map is not yet on steamworks, it probably takes a little time before it is published there.

edit: btw the skybox doesnt work anymore (neither in b2c1 nor in b2d) => so its pitch black if you look outside a window.
That is one of the biggest balance issues on this map.
Like with previous sub-builds of turtle_b2... im only doing small changes to gap the waiting time...
Bigger stuff needs an official update from evil.
