Some wierd bugs floating around with this update, mousebutton2 (middle mouse button) bind only working in RR (I have mine bound to jump so this is pretty crucial for me) some horrible stutter and performance issues and a strange double hive bug when in explore mode. These are just a couple I've experienced but it look s like a few things got broke just for the addition of a few teaser screens and an fps cap increase to me.
My specs if anyones wondering are below, my fps is around 80-100 in an emptey local server but the game stutters immensly when moving around. I havnt really played much this week so it may have been an issue introduced in 224, but that dosnt go along with the 30-40% <u>increase</u> in performance that UWE reported from users on their gamespot stream.

The walls in Tram have some major problems with seeing through them into other rooms or into the skybox
Also The fans and physics/animated objects on servers seem to not always work. Is that a server side option? (the fans spinning, chains moving, etc...)
The new infestation looks pretty uneven, how will gorges bellyside on that? :( Didn't have any problems with the loading screen here, it looks really cool! Hope we can get it in 1.0, provided it doesn't hurt performance.

I was running around in an empty server in summit. Had higher fps than ever 120+ at times (non-oc i5 ivybridge+gtx 660).
BUT... soon hit a point where it became a slide show. It started with looked what like a texture loading hitch, but then had exceptional FPS loss. - maybe down to 3 FPS. Had to quit the game to fix it.

it seems like they are using the blobs we always had wich dosnt have collision,I dont like them really I hope its a placeholder and they will make it look exactly how it was in <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnaJLk8MhL4" target="_blank">this video</a>.
come to think of it with all these blobs it <i>might </i>block the vision for all short aliens ala skulks, gorges and lerks when standing still or hanging on a wall. I guess we will know once we test it.
I also think a flatter growing texture map would work a whole lot better, the blobs look great but surely game play suffers massively.
I think just adding a 3d effect to infestation growth as it is, with a very small changes in height (enough for models to clip it, so ankle deep or so) would work great. With the occasional 'blob' as is currently seen in the beta to add some depth.

I can confirm this.. I actually got the refinery map loading screen and was like wow. Then when it was done i was like wtf this is mineshaft. Lol troll game. Anyways i took a screenshot of it. - collision radius for observatory is too big - i have to rebind my middle mouse button every time. the ping bind takes over again when i restart ns2 :(

I presume the infestation will have another role than what's currently in, unless I'm reading it wrong.
Looks nice and mushy nonetheless, gonna look so fun belly sliding.
I also like how the Dynamic Infestation interacts with the pipe geometry on the side of the screenshot above.

If you fire only one shot and reload it plays the sound for 2 shells being reloaded
(I'm just thinking collision could cause some issues, blocking vents/doorways)
