I like the idea I think..wonder what it will do, squeeze on impact? Quite a punch :P

Awesome stuff of course!
But I mean it does not have to be left out completely. Just assign it to a button like 2 while in an exo so you can do both. And switch it if you need it for range. Of course more damage would make launching it appealing. Or make it so that you can charge it up by holding left mouse button and release for a quick projectile with massive damage.
Still it feels like it was a joke concept but it would make the 50 res cost exo more useful as I find it lacking adequate firepower for 50 res when for 25 more res you can get the terminator exo.
Btw it seems to have the rail gun. I wonder if it'll come in a dual rail gun variant along with the fist rail gun exo. And the arm launching the fist seems an awful lot like a grenade launcher too.
Still, I'd much prefer to see a mechanic added where you can buy exoskeleton and weapons separately, so you can get your own combination of weapons that you prefer on the exo.

I like that idea. Especially if you could trade arm parts anything you visit a proto lab. I mean who wouldn't want to go dual fisto?
Suggested that a while back already, though:

Hey there Mr. Sunshine
How about you fix your attitude 1st and then add some "read before posting" to your repertoire...
A friend of mine suggested that the fist be able to grapple things, maybe to hold a fade in place, or even an Onos. A grapple fist would give the EXO a utility, something it's currently lacking imo.
I wonder, if maybe the EXO was given some kind of aura. Or if there was a way to make the EXO something more of a mobile forward base. If marines are going to be huddled around it repairing it, it should provide some kind of blanket buff to nearby marines. So that, if marines decide to go all in on a couple exos, the strategy itself is reinforced with game mechanics.

lelolelolel aura exodin, next we give them holy hammers that he can throw in circles around his head and damage everyone in the room
IMAGINE.
Aura could be anything really. Maybe a periodical scan like in Combat. Or some kind of emp blast like the macs.

I think a more interesting mechanic would be some kind of electric/nano 'lasso' (for lack of a better term) which would spool out from a modified glove, coil around an enemy upon a successful hit, slow them down, do slight damage over time and - most importantly - lock the exo onto the target even as it moves around wildly. This would require some real accuracy to pull off and the enemy would need to be in melee range, meaning that a successful 'link' would be easiest on a large, charging onos or a gorge caught by surprise. There would have to be some kind of mechanic to break the tether, too, and it might be as simple as running away until the link severs (albeit against some resistance/slowdown).
Alternately, some kind of slowdown 'nano net' which could be blasted down (with a recharge timer) to blanket an area with a movement reduction penalty for non-marines. This would especially help with skulks spazzing out at an exo's feet.
For either option, I imagine an aesthetic which matches the cool, blue nano-style found elsewhere for marines; a glowing grid of light for the net, a tentacle of blue light for the lasso, etc.

I support this. Because it would be awesome.
Edit:
Also need the option for dual rocketfist exo.
Also, extendo-punch = dead skulks at your feet
