NOW is the time to invite new players

With the new 250 changes (plus recent performance improvements), many existing players have been taken down a notch (pro players aside), making the playing field for new players a bit more even. Now is the time to invite your friends to play (again). Use that free ns2 license gift you got a while back. Chip in for a new copy. Spread the word.
Perhaps it will take one more release to polish off the 250 rough edges, but its playable now. Hopefully a 25%-40% steam discount is coming soon. <crosses fingers>

I hope the collaboration between UWE and the Chivalry team means Skulks will be able to bite the heads off Marines in 251, and Nordic battle axes instead of that girly Switch-fits-in-my-purse-Axe we're stuck with right now.
Not gonna lie that's a pretty cool picture.
Vets who say 24man servers are bad for NS2 not only go into them, but once there they go out of their way to intentionally team stack match after match voting down any attempts to randomize. In "Rookie Friendly" pubs of all places. Good luck retaining new players who experience that.
(On the bright side saw a few new players who took advantage of the sale. They didn't really know what was going on, but their initial impression was, "This game is awesome.")
Please.
Not even close to the same kind of game.
You can always depend on the stackers to fuck this game up.
Anyway as for the sale
1) I hate how it's hard to find, it's on the right side and needs to be scrolled
2) I hate how there's no more "news" section, you need to manually click it to see patch notes; before it was a startup thing you'd see on steam, so you'd see big patch notes and be like.. woah let me go check out the patch (an example is terraria which one big patch would bring on 20,000 people in one shot)
Now the only way to get on the front page is prob the store page, which most likely cost $$
