right, but it also carries hemoglobin, and oxygen, and probobly a variety of other things, it obviously wouldnt be good to drink your own blood for sustanance, (just wouldnt work) but the sadist in my wonders if it would be 'nutritious' to feed on other peoples blood? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
blood tends to carry more oxygen and iron more than anything,, depending on how much meat you eat depends on the amount of iron in your blood,, the less you eat meats the less iron, thus your blood is sweeter because the sugar rates are usually higher than the iron rates. either way its also up to the taste buds, everyone has different taste to things.
myself, my blood has more of a metallic taste to it (i eat alot of meat,, especially chicken,, maybe too much chicken.. and steak) now i dont tend to enjoy sucking on steel poles. but if i have a cut i do suck on the wound,, its a habit, nearly everyone does it.. i wouldnt say i overly enjoy it, but i dont really mind it..
but seriously,, once you start deliberately cutting yaself just to drink ya blood or drinking other ppls blood.. then you should worry..

I do find the taste of blood "balanced" , that is , the metallic taste (the iron from Hemoglobin) is compensated by the sugar content. Not horrible enough to prevent bleeding people from disinfecting their wounds , not tasty enough to make it a casual drink <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Blood is well tastey. There, i said it. Mine is at least. I haven't actively munched on other people's veins yet, as they would probably object. But the thought of someone elses blood in my mouth really isn't nice at all.
Anyway, as for the "is it good for you or not" thing, i don't see how it could be *bad* for you. Drinking someone elses blood has the risk of contracting some disease that they have a high immunity to, but you don't (i guess). But i'd imagine drinking/swallowing your own blood would only be like swallowing spit in your mouth.
from the few experiences of sucking on my own cuts I've had (I'm not too accident prone =3 ) I always thought of the taste being like what you'd get from sucking a coin sprinkled with sugar. sweet but predominantly coppery ^^; I'd probably get eaten alive by mosquitos on holiday but luckily they seem to prefer my mum... when she's around I don't get bitten but she does XD I think it's because I don't have any alcohol in my blood (supposedly that, female hormones and perfume attract them =o ).

The mucus is the nose, which entrapped in it is bacteria and dust etc, is fine to digest. If it gets in your lungs then it =bad, but your stomach will just disgest it really.
Hmm, well some people (specifically 3 year old children) seem to like the taste of bogeys, so I don't see why it shouldn't be possible to enjoy the taste of your own blood.

However, if you wish to kill someone for blood, either you are saying so for attention or you have a serious problem that needs counceling.

blood DOES taste yummy. whenever I accidentally bite my cheek (GOD I hate that), that's the one good thing that comes of it... so sweet and salty and tangy... must be the carnivore in me calling (I'm a vegetarian)...
I seem to have a habit of biting the inside of my cheeks at night before i go to sleep (I only do it every 6 months, giving the last one plenty of time to heal) and once i start, the sweet taste is so good i cant stop until i fall asleep from exhaustion...
